One of the biggest pain points for me and a lot of people in FIFO is sleep. Let’s be real, you’re never going to hit a full amount of sleep your body needs in this industry. I was a light sleeper for most of my life, and FIFO just amplified that. In 2023 I hit a wall burnt out, running on fumes, and decided it had to change. I invested in a sleep tracker (WHOOP) and realised how trash my sleep was. So I spent the year studying it, learning everything I could, and testing it on myself. After about 14 days following a system, I fixed my light sleep issue and started averaging over 90% sleep efficiency all while working FIFO.
