OpenAI
Open AI is facing some of the craziest headwinds I’ve ever seen and I think most of these are self created but here is some live news and this is true based off of how it’s worded

Buzz App - Let's Chat with our Bot!
Hey Community! During our webinar today, @Jed Wilson mentioned a new app called Buzz. Jack Dorsey (former founder of Twitter) and Block just launched Buzz app, which is a new open-source, model-agnostic chat + agent platform built on the Nostr protocol that lets you run Slack-style collaboration and GitHub-style workflows completely under your own control with your bots! Check out this video! Have a fabulous Thursday!

Jensen Huangs letter on Open Sourcing AI
This is definitely worth reading because we are seeing the same trends happening in AI. These models are becoming much more powerful and much more available to be run locally. As open source develops I think it’s true that if the model is open more people can build around it, understand it, and secure it. https://x.com/jensenhuang/status/2080643682408321103?s=46

man he and I think a lot a like these days. Yeah, that’s why when I hear people say we should only rely on the frontier models and ignore open-source AI, I just don’t agree. I think a lot of people are looking for an easy button—they want everything handled for them. But the more dependent you become on closed platforms, the more control you give up over your costs, your workflows, and your future. If history is any guide, those costs tend to keep increasing. That’s why I believe it’s worth investing the time to learn open-source models. They give you more flexibility, more control, and a much better understanding of how AI actually works. The learning curve may be a little steeper, but the long-term payoff is well worth it..
