We ❤️ Music (Morning show requests & suggestions here please)
Looks like a few of us are happy to be having music on the morning show (and to be livestreaming again every morning 8-9am 😁) Please share your requests and suggestions in this thread 👇 and I will spin them on the morning show. Portugal Club members will always be prioritised 😉 AND if you're looking for inspiration for Portugal-connected music, check out our latest classroom offering: @António Ferreira's Guide to Portuguese Music 😍 Remember, listening to Portuese music helps you learn a lot about the language and culture, in a fun and curious way 🎵

Great food and location. There is public parking about 200 meters from the food trucks. We paid 1€ for about 2 hours of parking. You prepay for the food and drinks. It was 27€ for two sandwiches with fries, one beer, and one Coca-Cola. I tried the wood fired Francesinha which cost 13€, and the traditional Francesinha was 10€. The festival only runs through Sunday but well worth the drive to Central Portugal!!
Where next?
@John Heimbach and I will be talking about his recent Algarve adventures and upcoming wanderings to Spain, France, and Italy in March, on the show this morning. He also fancies a trip to the "world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge" in Portugal. Do you know it, and know where it is?

Any questions: Election, farmers, police - what's happening in Portugal?
Should we rename 2024: 20-20-furore?! Not unlike many other European countries, it seems, Portugal is experiencing a tension between the limitations of political ideology and the real lives of ordinary people. Election campaigning begins in earnest today with TV debates, the country's farmers have mobilised to demonstrate their dissatisfaction with domestic and EU treatment, and two of Portugal's three police forces have taken action with disturbing results for society. Tonight, we are taking a look at a few of the news articles relating to this growing unease and discuss solutions both personal and societal... If you have any questions or comments, pop them here for priority attention...

@Carl Munson I never met any of the greats, but was lucky enough to see several of them in person including Frankie Knuckles, Fast Eddie, Felix da Housecast, Carl Cox, Bad Boy Bill, Steve Poindexter. I know there are more, but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head. A lot of the clubs that opened after the Warehouse closed down were proving grounds for DJs trying to make a name for themselves. (Crobar, The Shelter, Limelight which later became Excalibur, and Powerhouse ) Good times!! House music all night long…..
