Mindset tool for creating change
In this community we want to focus on how you can stack your healthy habits so they would stay with you and always the important aspect is that we need to create change without stress and overwhelm. So whether you are aiming to drink more water, eat better breakfasts, swap toru third coffee with the tea etc etc, all this is relevant to you. This explanation is resonating with me a lot and I find it very useful so I wanted to share what my great colleague @Ahmy Brock has written about it. I let the expert speak :) The Stages of Change Stage 1: Awareness - you cannot change what you are not aware of Stage 2: Reflection - now that you are aware, you can look back and identify the places you did the thing and envision how you can attempt to do it differently next time Stage 3: Right after the act - right after you do the thing, you notice it and high five yourself for catching it right after Stage 4: In the act - in the middle of doing the thing, you catch yourself and stop and implement the new thing you want to implement Stage 5: Right before - this is a sign that the new thing is taking hold.... you catch yourself right before you were going to do the old thing, you pause and do the new thing. Over time, the new thing just becomes the norm. I know it sounds like a lot of steps. It can happen much quicker than you think. With just a little practice - your brain and nervous system start flagging the information you are feeding it. We try to practice WITHOUT JUDGMENT but instead a high five. "Look at me go, catching the thing". So, keep practicing: awareness is power, reflection is hindsight (brings clarity), right after shows progress, in the act means you are almost there and right before means you have formed the new habit. Now it will become automatic over time. And in case all this sounds useful, here is her community ENJOY BEING HUMAN. Ahmy is a therapist with extensive practice and I just love how she always says the right words with lots of purpose so she makes me think and be aware much more.

@Naturopathic coach Kelli you are very kind and generous with your words. Drinking more water is one of my goals too. 🚰
Herbal tea for fluid retention, bloating and digestion
I have been loving this herbal tea lately, so I thought I'd share it with you. Here in Brisbane it is winter and often I find I drink less water so gentle herbal tea without caffeine counts towards the water intake. The flavour is mild yet interesting enough. The hero ingredients are: • Fennel seeds – traditionally used to ease bloating, gas and digestive discomfort. • Peppermint leaf – helps relax the digestive tract and can soothe an unsettled stomach. • Dandelion leaf – traditionally used as a gentle diuretic to support healthy fluid balance. Very good for removing the excess fluids • Celery seed (or leaf) – traditionally used to support fluid balance and healthy digestion. It's a lovely, gentle tea to enjoy after meals or whenever you're feeling a little puffy or bloated. If you really want to enhance the effect of it, I suggest you drink 4 cups a day. I personally make 2 cups at a time, with double bag, I keep it in my thermos mug and when it cools down I just top it up with extra hot water. PS. You can just make this blend yourself and buy the herbs in loose leaf, use 1 tsp of each to make 2 cups of tea. Do you have a go-to herbal tea that you always keep in the cupboard?

@Naturopathic coach Kelli Oh cool - I don't feel so bad knowing it is not just me.
Trending Creatine powder
So is it really worth it or not? You’ll know in 4 minutes :) Hear me out - what does it do, and how do you know if it’s right for you? Share your experience! Have you taken creatine powder yourself? Was it useful, and what benefits did you notice? I’m very curious to hear.

Tiger nut milk - creamy dairy alternative
Ok, this is one of my favourites so everyone needs to know :) It is so versatile and extremely well tolerated milk alternative, I am a bit obsessed. Despite the name, tiger nuts are not nuts at all. They are small root vegetables (tubers), making tiger nut milk naturally dairy free and suitable for people with lots of sensitivities. I do a lot of food compatibility testings with my clients and work with lots of food sensitivities and this one has proven to be the best tolerated. The taste is naturally sweet with a mild, earthy and neutral flavour. The texture is smooth and creamy. Unlike the other milk alternatives like almond, oat, rice milk that dilute your drink down, this one actually adds to your hot drinks. You can enjoy it in smoothies, coffee, porridge, chia pudding, baking, or simply drink it on its own. It is very versatile and tolerates Heaton without splitting. Nutritionally, tiger nut milk provides fibre, healthy fats, vitamin E, potassium and magnesium. It also contains resistant starch, a type of fibre that helps feed beneficial gut bacteria and supports digestive health. And lastly, here in Australia, the Madame Tiger sells the version that has zero nasties in there, no seed oils either. This company hires women in Africa so that's another reason to support them. You can find this is health shops or order online. Have you ever heard about this? Have you tried this yet?
