I know it. You know it. It's time to hit the ground running. Not tomorrow. Not "when things settle down." Not after one more Netflix episode telling yourself you'll start Monday. Right now. Joe, I get it. You've spent years — maybe decades — grinding for someone else's paycheck. Fifty, sixty, eighty-hour weeks. Coming home too tired to think about your own future, let alone build one. I lived that. Thirty-six years as a volunteer firefighter, on top of working in the trades. I know what it's like to have nothing left in the tank at the end of the day. But here's what I also know: nobody's future got built waiting for the perfect moment. Mine didn't. I got laid off with no warning and no plan B. I made mistakes. I got conned — more than once. And none of that stopped me, because I finally understood something simple: waiting doesn't protect you. Starting does.
