It's been quite slowwwww....
Morning guys! Hope you're Wednesday is going well. The 'classroom' content section is looking a bit, well, dry these days. I can only say sorry - I have 5 exams coming up this month, and I've been studying for those - it's going well. In may, expect LOADS more videos AND content under the classroom and over on the youtube. In the meantime, and videos or things you would like me to make or teach, then just comment below! Keep studying! B

love this so far. nice small chunks which is good to keep focused! Where is the humanity subjects though?! Get more of those in. Also, you have a lovely chunk in the mornings before school... consider doing a cheeky past paper each day for a subject your struggling in...?
I need advice please Bryn
I've pretty much wasted half of my Easter break by procrastinating about revising. Im in year 11 and really hope to just get grade 5s in everything. Ive never passed maths or science and Im not sure im able to boost up my grades just time to get grade 5s in the little time I have left. I've made myself a revision timetable but its just so hard for me to stick to it, and most of my revision will only be an hour long but then end up forgetting. I try the blurting method in science but its all not sticking in my head and im worried im going to fail😭 Please just ANY kind of advice would really help thank you :)

Hi. Common issue and well done for coming out about it. 1) Bin off the phone. As soon as you're done reading this, scrap off the phone. It KILLS productivity. 2) Have small, easy to do chunks of revision. Instead of 'do an entire past paper' have 'do the first 5 questions' then have a short break, ideally not on your phone. But the first thing to do is remove the damn phone, seriously.
I need some advice Bryn for action plans after easter
so obviously you saw my timetable ect and that's for Easter. when Easter ends though what should i do? i did see your video when you where talking about your grade 9 timetable and you said its for people for study leave. i don't think my school offers study leave and if anything I recon they are against it so there is a slim/no chance ill be able to get a study leave. so this only leaves me with time before school (depending how much sleep i get and/ or how exhausted/shattered i am) and after school to revise/ practice. i saw your video on how to revise in Easter in which you said in Easter learn new topics/the topics u struggle with and once Easter ends, its exam practice for the topics you know/okay with. i need help planning the after-Easter exam practice basically, as i have no clue, with the sheer amount of work-load needed for each subject im not sure how ill be able to have time other than before/after school and weekends whilst also aiming for grade 8's and 9's. FYI if this may help you generate a response, the grades i would like for my subjects would be: maths = 8/9 Further Maths = 7/8/9 biology = 8 chemistry = 8 physics = 9 english lit/lang = 7/8 geography = 8/9 computer science = 8 Also i always here about the 20/80 rule and im wondering if this can be applied to gcses... if so how? as what if the 20% you know has no correlations to the questions on the exam, so you could probably only apply 30% rather than 80% also one last question how do i cope with the pressure, i feel like i worry so much about not getting the grades i need (the minimum for this math college is 8 for maths, 7 in physics and 7 in another science and a 5 in english lang (however i aint here for the bare minimum)) rather than actualy seeing my potential. i do past paper for maths and i cant get past a 6 ( this was before Easter so i might be able to preform better now that ive targeted my weaknesses and started practicing grade 8/9 topics) but yeah hopefully you could help me, and thank you!

whats up! 1) With the timetable, do what is possible. So lets say you're in bed for 11 and up for 7, you can get 1 hour in the morning. Then you're back for 4, you can do 2 hours there in the afternoon. Already you've done 3 hours, which is PLENTY, if you're studying on breaks whilst in school etc, AND if you're effective whilst studying in these sessions. 2) The 80 20 rule applies MOSTLY to the sciences, as these are HEAVY on their mark schemes. Now that's not to say they don't apply to other subjects. Many people predict what may come up on papers and subjects, and often they're right, so you can use these as guidance. 3) With pressure, just think about the predicted grades you're getting now, and how much that is working out. Your predicted grades in general are very accurate, and if you work even HARDER than you were then to get the grades now, then you should be in a good spot. And remember - worrying doesn't help! Keep up the hard work B
