Gross sales: $4,215 Expenses: $775 Profit: $3440 Number of couches sold: 7 This is my highest profit yet this month by far! I sold some other miscellaneous items that are added in this as well but couches have been where most of the money was made. If it wasn’t for a piece of the restoration hardware sectional falling off my truck I would have had probably another 1k in profit lol Only been doing it about 15/20 hours a week. I am going to put in 30/40 hours a week this month and goal is to hit over 5k profit and sell over 15 couches. And this is all from my 2 car garage. So I wanted to get into doing storage auctions and I saw this one had a couch so I was like I could sell that couch for a couple hundred bucks. Everything else will just be extra so I bought the storage unit and little did I know I found some amazing branded furniture one Tommy Bahama king bed set, one 8 x 11,100% wool rug, one Ethan Allen couch (2 years old) and two Ekornes made in Norway black leather chairs that go for over $1000 each. Total profit expected over 1500. Super happy with my first storage auction.

Does anyone charge a storage fee if they want you to hold the couch for a period of time? And if so how much? I work out of my garage so space is limited. I Have a customer that paid for a couch but wants me to hold it for almost a month until delivery. I never ran into this before and was just happy to make the sale but thought about it after the fact that I should have probably charged some type of storage fee. I won’t charge them anything but was wondering for the future

So I see a Harvey’s u shape sectional for free like 15 minutes from me, they already posted address and have it in their driveway. Just said there are lots of stains which are no problem for me. I get there and the couch is disassembled and cushions all over the place (RED FLAG) but I wanted to throw it in my truck quick before someone else that saw the address pulled up and then I’d have to fight them for it lol I put all the back cushion's inside my truck and load it. When I get home I think to myself let me check to make sure all the cushions are there so I look and count them and I see there is one back cushion’s missing… So I messaged the person like five times, they ghost me and delete the listing. So I drive back there with the couch and drop it right in the driveway. I don’t know why almost every free couch that is on Facebook marketplace has some type of problem for me, to where it’s almost not sellable and waste my time, but I’m over it. I think this might be the last free couch for me. And I don’t recommend doing what I did because you might get in trouble for it, but it felt good lol
