that crossover reach looks brutal, congrats
Sent A V5 today 😁
Completed my first V5 in the new set.I was very hesitant at first with the hop and jump but you can’t think too much about it and just do it. It seemed a little on the soft side because I felt like the other V5’s seemed a lot harder; even some v4s and 3s.

@Mike Vert thanks it felt pretty good. apparently practicing one skill eventually pays off, maybe I should focus on the other basics next πŸ˜…

@Patryk Jasiewicz much appreciated
Why do you want to climb higher grades?
Some people think of increasing there skills as selfish, not me. I see it as a way to experience new movements. When I walk into a gym and see a climb that looks fun I don't want to be limited by my skills, I want to climb it! I used to suck at slopers, trained on them and now I am not worried about them. I used to be intimidated by cutting both of my feet of the wall and swinging, after training I don't think twice about it. I used to be worried about slab climbing because I thought my feet would slip off at any moment, not any more. I want to climb higher grades to have more options in the gym, I know this makes my life better because it already has... what about you?

I like the mantra 'better than last time'. I enjoy the feeling of progression and optimizing and having a general confidence in moving/utilizing my body. In my opinion people who view any kind of self improvement as selfish more often than not are projecting their own insecurities on to others, so I think its a good identifier of a person's character. I'm not putting my life on hold just because someone thinks its an affront to their very being that I want to get good enough to climb V6-7 one day 🀣
Sent a v4 project finally
Managed to complete a v4 I've been working on for 3 weeks and the part that was giving me the most issues was the final hold πŸ˜… was a nice mix of basics with a small Dyno, dead point grab into a bump up to the final hold with the key being holding tension with my right foot into weight manipulation to match on the final hold
Sent a v4 project finally
