I Thought I Looked Stupid on Camera Too
Three years ago I couldn't string two sentences together on camera. I'd hit record, freeze, say something dumb, delete it, and never post anything. I thought I just wasn't built for it. Some people are natural on camera. I wasn't one of them. So I tried harder. And got worse. I overthought every word. I watched myself back and cringed. I convinced myself my friends would see it and laugh. So I kept hiding. Kept telling myself I'd start when I felt ready. Ready never came. Eventually I got so frustrated that I did something that scared me more than anything - I started a podcast. No experience. No confidence. Just a decision that I was going to figure it out by doing it. I made every mistake you can make. I stumbled over words. I rambled. I looked stiff. I sounded robotic. Here's one of my first videos so you can see exactly what I mean 👇 https://youtu.be/PRHV-6NpE6s?si=j5hrfm3G7trDqiQv (Embarrassing right?) But action creates momentum... And then something clicked. I stopped trying to be perfect and started just talking like a human. I learned what to say, how to say it, and how to make it look and sound like I knew what I was doing - without a crew, without expensive gear, without hours of editing. Now I can speak off the cuff anytime, anywhere. The camera doesn't scare me anymore. _____________________________________________ Here's why this matters for YOU. If you're not posting on social media right now, nobody knows you exist. Nobody knows you buy houses. Your competitors who ARE posting - even badly - are getting the call you should be getting. Think about it this way. Getting 100 views on a video feels like nothing. But imagine walking into a room and speaking in front of 100 people. That's terrifying. Same audience. Completely different feeling. And those 100 people on video? They're sellers. Buyers. Referral sources. People who could put money in your pocket. If you're not doing this, you need to be. Full stop.

Collective Genius Elevate Recap (CG)
As promised, here’s my recap from Collective Genius Elevate. I recorded a Loom sharing what I saw, heard, and felt being in the room. Big takeaway for me: this is why CG works. You’ve got high-level operators all in one place. Everyone is doing deals. Everyone is generating motivated seller leads. And everyone is strong at something different. One person is dialed in on acquisitions. Another is great at dispositions. Someone else is sharp with systems, automations, or leadership. The cool part is those people are all in the same room, actually talking, sharing, and helping each other level up. What stood out most wasn’t a single tactic, it was the environment. Real operators being honest about what’s working, what’s messy, and where they want to get better. That’s hard to find. This Loom isn’t a teardown or a how-to. It’s just a straight recap of the themes, conversations, and energy from Collective Genius Elevate and why it’s a valuable room to be in if you’re serious about building a real business. Dropping the video below 👇

Quick CRM + Automation Question for the Group
I’m trying to get a feel for what you guys are actually using, what’s working, and where things break down. Are you using a CRM right now, or manual tracking your leads in a google sheet or something manual? If you have one, are you really using automations or just the basics? I’m especially curious around: - Speed to lead - Follow-up after the first call - What happens to leads that aren’t ready today but come back 6–12 months later - Where leads fall through the cracks In a perfect world: - What would you want your CRM to handle automatically? - What do you wish was easier or more dialed in? - What do you like about what you’re using now and what do you hate? For context, I personally use GoHighLevel and we’re working on building out additional automations. I’m curious to see what everyone else is doing - the good, the bad, and the ugly. Would love to hear what you’re seeing.
