Music is valuable to $omebody!
Rod Stewart is the latest icon to sell his catalog. How can this be a good investment based on what we are seeing with fractions of pennies being paid to the artists?? Are these investors wrong or do they KNOW something….? https://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/iconic-artists-group-raises-1bn-acquires-rod-stewart-catalog/

When an investor or company acquires an artist's music catalog, such as Rod Stewart's, they're investing in the future earnings potential of his music. Rod Stewart, with his long and successful career, has a catalog filled with hits that have stood the test of time, making his music highly valuable for several reasons: Licensing opportunities- movies, TV, video games, commercials. (that’s if they manage the catalog correctly to keep them relevant to existing and potential new fans. Global fan base- so his music will continue to generate revenue from all over the world. Sampling- artist and producers who want to sample his music for new tracks. That’s just to name a few… For people in the music rights acquisition space, a catalog like Rod Stewart's represents a significant asset with multiple avenues for return on investment. You should check out the company royalty exchange that specializes in music acquisition. I wish I could afford to invest.

Have yall incorporated ChatGPT/BingAI into your Marketing efforts?
I've been using it for a while now and in terms of writing copy and coming up with shorts scripts, reorganizing track lists, doing prospecting and market research, cold outreach, literally everything! It's crazy how much quicker you can get things done with a tool like this

The impact of AI voice clones on the music industry
And the best new artist for the 64th Annual Grammy Awards goes to... #notdrake and #nottheweeknd for their AI-generated song!? Wait, what? Yeah, it sounds crazy, but it's not as far-fetched as it seems. Have you ever stopped to consider the impact of AI voice clones on the music industry? With AI-generated songs sounding like they were produced by human artists, the authenticity and value of music are now in question. If an AI-generated song can sound just like one produced by a human artist, what does that say about the value of genuine talent and hard work? These AI clones are like chameleons, blending in seamlessly with the real deal and posing a threat to the authenticity of the industry. It's like trying to tell the difference between a genuine Rolex and a knockoff from a street vendor. However, the consequences of AI-generated songs are much more serious. Just look at the viral song featuring AI-generated fake vocals from Drake and The Weeknd that rocked the internet, garnering over 250,000 Spotify streams and 10 million views on TikTok. However, the song was quickly pulled from most streaming platforms after Universal Music Group released a statement "condemning infringing content created with generative AI." This is a clear indication that the industry is taking the threat of AI-generated songs seriously. The incident also highlights the need for stronger measures to protect the rights of artists and prevent the misuse of their work and likeness. As technology continues to evolve, it's crucial that we establish legal frameworks and anti-fraud measures that safeguard the integrity of the industry. But at the same time, it's important to recognize the potential of AI-generated music to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation. It's a new frontier that offers endless possibilities for music production and composition. Ponder this: in a world where AI-generated music could be the next big thing, we need to ask ourselves, what do we value in music? Is it the authenticity of human talent, or the limitless potential of technology? This thought-provoking question challenges our assumptions about the nature of music and its value.

What's a good budget for releasing a song?
How much would be considered a perfect budget to invest in a single that can get it to top charts and eventually bring some ROI?

@Hanson Kudoka Unfortunately, my friend there is no specific "perfect" budget that ensures a single will top the charts and yield a positive return on investment (ROI). The success of a single relies on a variety of factors, such as song quality, marketing, promotion, and the target audience's response. Regarding the budget, I completely agree with @Tazzy Online. The strategy you develop to achieve your objective will determine your budget. It's important to consider production costs, music videos (if you plan to create one), marketing, and promotion (including social media advertising(Paid), PR campaigns, and playlist placements). This list only begins to cover the many aspects involved in a successful single release.
