New Here: Hey Yall
Hi everyone! My name is Patrice. I'm a native of the Mississippi Delta and a proud Jackson State University alumna. By profession, I'm a speech-language pathologist, and I'm also an aspiring grief coach and storyteller. I'm currently working on completing my first book and look forward to learning, growing, and connecting with you all.

@Patrice Thomas Thank you so much for sharing that with me. Your story is both heartbreaking and inspiring. It's beautiful that your mom introduced you to journaling and that those diaries have become such a meaningful record of your journey. It sounds like her influence continues to live on through your writing and the work you're doing to help others. I also love the perspective you've gained about grief extending beyond the loss of a loved one. So many people carry unprocessed grief from different areas of life without realizing how deeply it affects them. Helping others identify and work through those hidden wounds so they can step into their God-given purpose is such a powerful mission. I'd love to learn more about your book, which stage are you currently on with the book, and what is the part you are finding difficult with the book, I would like to help in any way I can help bringing the book to live.

@Patrice Thomas Thank you for sharing that. It’s inspiring to hear that joining this club has helped you start moving past the block that had you feeling stuck. Accountability and time management are challenges that many writers face, and recognizing them is already a significant step forward. I can also understand how difficult it must be to revisit personal experiences while writing. Reliving those moments can be emotionally demanding, but it often adds a level of authenticity and depth that readers truly connect with. It sounds like you’re pushing through some meaningful work, and that takes a lot of courage. Setting a goal to have most of it finished before mid-August is a great target, and with the momentum you’re building now, it seems very achievable. What strategies from the club have been helping you the most with staying accountable and making consistent progress on your writing?
I'm New
Hi. I'm new. My name is Shelley. While I am a speaker and author...I def do not have the visibility. I just wrote my latest book "God Said NO!: A Stroke Survivor's Story of Resilience, Recovery and Renewal". This is my testimony of how God healed me of 3 strokes in one day, and I want to uplift others through my story. So I am very happy to have come across this community at this time. Thanks Taurea, Brian and Ash!

@Shelley Meche'tte Thank you for sharing that with me. Your journey is truly inspiring, and it’s powerful to see how you’ve transformed such life-changing challenges into a renewed sense of purpose and calling. I can see how your experiences would deeply resonate with professional women of faith who are navigating difficult seasons and seeking direction after a crisis. It sounds like God has given you a unique platform to encourage, uplift, and guide others through their own transitions. What has been the most rewarding part of connecting with and serving this new audience?

@Shelley Meche'tte That sounds completely understandable. Taking the time to get everything organized first can make the next steps much clearer and more productive. I appreciate you keeping me updated, and there's absolutely no rush. Whenever you feel things are coming together, I'd be happy to continue the conversation and explore the possibilities with you. What part are you focusing on putting together first?
Marketing
Is there anyone else out there that is having a problem with getting their books out to clients. I have two books and I am not getting any kind of a profit out of it. I got one more book to write to the series.

@Janet Manning I understand how frustrating that can be. Many authors put a lot of time, effort, and heart into writing their books, only to find that reaching readers is often the biggest challenge. Sometimes it's not the quality of the book but the visibility, marketing, and audience reach that make the difference. Congratulations on having two books published and a third one in the works, that's a great accomplishment in itself. Have you explored any promotional strategies or looked into ways to optimize your book listings to attract more readers?

@Janet Manning Thank you for your comment. I completely agree with you, many authors face the challenge of getting their books in front of the right audience, even when they have great content. Over time, I’ve learned a few strategies that have genuinely helped me improve visibility and generate more sales for books. I’d be happy to share them with you. Everything I’ll share is based on what has actually worked for me, not just theory. If you're interested, I'd love to tell you more and walk you through some of the things that have made a real difference. Would you be eager to hear them?
Flowing creativity
I'm currently writing multiple genre books. Memoir (a novella), Spiritual/encouragement (short stories),romance ( a novel) and fantasy (a noveltte). Is anyone else working on multiple projects?

@Sherrie Grover That's truly inspiring! It takes a lot of creativity and dedication to work across multiple genres at the same time. I love how each of your projects explores a different aspect of storytelling, from personal experiences and encouragement to romance and fantasy. It sounds like you have a wealth of ideas flowing through you, and it's wonderful to see you bringing them to life. How do you balance your time and creative energy between all these different projects?

@Sherrie Grover I love your approach to creativity. It’s amazing how inspiration can come from everyday moments, and carrying a notebook with you at all times is such a great way to capture those ideas before they slip away. The colored tabs sound like a very organized and effective system for managing your creative flow as well. I also appreciate your perspective on life’s experiences. It’s true that both the good and the challenging moments often carry valuable lessons, and turning those lessons into stories is a beautiful way to connect with others and share meaningful insights. Have you published any books yet? If so, how have they been doing in terms of reaching readers and building an audience?

@Aj Robinson Hello, and thank you for sharing that with me. I truly appreciate the insight into the BPC community and the impact it is making through its founders and members. I have heard positive things about the ecosystem and its mission of helping people create meaningful income while sharing messages that can make a difference in the world. The emphasis on empowerment, growth, and genuine support is certainly inspiring. At this point, I haven't had the opportunity to fully engage with Taurea, Brian, Ash, or the BookRich Profits Family ecosystem, but I'm always open to learning more about communities that are creating real value and opportunities for others. What would you say is the best way for someone new to get connected and start benefiting from everything the ecosystem has to offer?
