Having a Rest From Modeling Could Do You Good
From time to time you have to refresh and have a break from 3D modeling and do something else for a few days or weeks. I do this regularly and find that it refreshes the passion for 3D modeling. I have several finished models ready to be textured, but the mood just isn't there at the present time so I'm doing a bit of writing, painting and drawing that are my go to choices. When you start feel stale or lacking in the desire to move forward with a model, that's a clear sign that you need a break.

Couldn't agree more, I've decided to have a break for a few weeks and play around with UE5.
New Compass & Temperature Products
Found this new product on the Internet and thought I'd give it a few hours of my time modeling this product that comes in two flavours: a compass and a temperature gauge.

Very nice!
'Thor's Hammer' Hammered Copper Snare Drum (reworked)
I reworked my snare drum concept. Added Thor's hammer, clouds, rocky ground, updated the lighting and did some post processing in Affinity Photo. The clouds increased render times by 10! but I think they really improve the image.

Marianne Brandt Silver Teapot
In 1924 the brilliant female German Designer Marianne Brandt designed and made one of, if not the, most iconic objects ever produced in the Bauhaus when she released her beautiful teapot. There were to be several variations of this design together with a sugar bowl and ashtray. This is my model of her initial design the original of which sold at auction for a breathtaking $US361,000 - yes that's, a staggering three hundred and sixty one thousand US dollars. One hundred years old and as beautiful today as it was then - a true classic of design. The model was textured and rendered in Blender.
