Personally, i have a deep connection with burnout and how much turmoil it can cause you. Experiencing the highs and lows intensely can impact you can be detrimental to your own mental and physical well being. It is important not to ride the highs and ride the lows - staying consistent is a key part of success. You will always have triumph and tragedy in your life, your resilience in these moments will keep you on the straight and narrow. FAQ - How Do I Lead With Confidence?
Confidence is a behavioral trait developed through repetition and positive self-perception. I encourage you to engage in the right practices consistently, as this will compound your confidence over time. For me personally, confidence comes from doing what i know is good for me. - Physical exercise (even if it's a small session, something better than nothing) - Resting (chilling out) - something i have become better at, not feeling like i've got to be moving or doing something all the time. The confidence aspect that comes from resting is knowing i am looking after my body and mind. - Consistency - eating the right foods, staying hydrated etc. Essentially giving yourself the best chance to thrive as a leader and as a professional. Your Self Talk Will Govern Who You Are
Your self talk and what you repeat to yourself becomes what you believe quickly. Then what happens (and i happened to me) is you begin to lose your own personal identity. You start to say to yourself '' i used to be X, now i am Y '' What you believe drives how you lead and handle yourself every day. Mantras are strategic.
