@Jay Rutgrink Bro great question — and I’m gonna be really honest with you here… I’m a huge fan of lowest hanging fruit + minimum effective dose. So to answer your question directly — yeah, I use the microwave. I’m not afraid of it. Could you argue less ā€œprocessedā€ is better? Sure. But big picture… cognitive load matters way more. Because once I hit decision fatigue, I start making worse choices. And those choices are WAY more impactful than something like using a microwave. Like real talk — if I don’t manage that, those two bottles of wine sitting on the counter for weeks? Gone in a day or two. And that’s a much bigger problem than how I heated up my food. So for me, it’s about staying consistent and keeping things easy. That said — I actually don’t really ā€œmeal prepā€ in the traditional sense. I cook most of my meals fresh because I just don’t enjoy reheated food. The taste, the texture… it kills it for me, and if I don’t enjoy it, I’m not gonna stick to it. So my version of meal prep is just making things stupid simple: pre-packaged, low effort, low friction, easy to throw together. That’s what keeps me consistent šŸ‘Š

@Jay Rutgrink Nah — microwave isn’t make or break at all. Honestly I only really use it for rice. Everything else (beef, salmon, turkey, eggs, veggies) I cook on the stove — takes like 20 min and I’m done. The only reason I microwave rice is convenience. I buy the single-serve cups so I don’t have to measure anything. Fits my calories, zero thinking. If I didn’t have a microwave, I’d just throw the rice on the stove. Same outcome. Big picture — keep it simple and low friction. That’s what actually matters šŸ‘Š
