COLLAB — Don’t Do This Alone
Welcome to the Collab section of Elemental Actors Studio Online. Acting and creative living don't thrive in isolation. This tab exists to support the part of the work that only happens with other people. Collaboration here should go beyond networking. It's about creating community through action and accountability -- generosity and shared effort — showing up for yourself and others -- and being of agency to something greater than yourself. This is the place to: - look for readers or scene partners - share ideas you don’t want to build alone (i.e. content development) - brainstorm and network with others - offer your services in response to when someone else reaches out 👉 Please watch the video first, then respond to the prompt below (REMEMBER your answers will help steer the ship and shape this community.) PROMPT: What kind of collaboration would actually support your work right now? A reader? A scene partner? A simple check-in? If you’re not sure yet, that’s okay — naming that counts too. — — Brandon

I can always use a hand with something, whether it's pulling/organizing scenes for class, crafting related events for here and in person, or support for a variety of different projects I'm producing/developing. I'm also available to consult, produce, direct, and otherwise help you connect whatever dots I can.
MINDSET — How We Show Up
Welcome to the Mindset section of Elemental Actors Studio Online. Mindset work is introspective, but it's also essential and foundational. Mindset is described in terms of: - the beliefs we hold - the attitudes we bring to a task - qualities like confidence, resilience, and persistence And where could THAT possibly be more relevant... than in acting? What makes mindset especially important for actors is that those internal qualities don’t stay internal-they show up immediately and visibly in the work. For actors, mindset becomes practical through: - your presence and energy in the room, on set, or on stage - how available and effective you remain under pressure - how you respond or even recover when something doesn’t go as planned In the video above, I talk more about this approach and why mindset isn’t separate from craft — it’s what allows us top access it when we need it most. 👉 Please watch the video first, then respond to the prompt below (same as the video). When you think about your acting right now, what feels most challenging or unclear — not technically, but internally? You don’t need to solve it. Just name what comes to mind in this moment. — — Brandon

CRAFT — Our Work, In Practice
Welcome to the Craft section of Elemental Actors Studio Online. This is where we focus on the skills that support strong, adaptable, resonant acting — voice, movement, script analysis, on-camera work, and the practical tools of the craft. Here, you’ll see exercises, prompts, and challenges. Some will be technical. Some will be exploratory. All are designed to be usable. Think of this space like learning to make bread — simple ingredients, repeated practice, and steady improvement over time. This is not about polish or perfection. It’s about building trust in your craft over time. To start: What’s one part of your craft you’d like to strengthen or revisit right now? It could be: - listening - text work - voice - on-camera ease - specificity - consistency Name it simply. No explanation required. We're listening. — Brandon

🧠 Why Acting?
Before the industry, before the outcomes — there was a moment when something in you said yes to this path. What made you choose acting in the first place? This isn’t nostalgia — it’s fuel. Let’s reconnect to it.

For me, it was connection. It was the fact that everything we did - reflection, preparation, and the personal transformation it required - forged a path to deeper connection.

@Dajanae Cole @Jin K Similarly, I knew I was going to be challenged and held accountable by the craft itself. Acting has become a transformative practice for me, and I think knowing that has increased the value of "the journey" in every aspect of my life.
