Elemental Affirmations-Let the Vibes Rise
This week, we're stacking seven key phrases to create a full mindset engine. These were introduced in class several months ago, and original explored one at a time over 7 weeks. But as we move more of this part of the work to this platform, I wanted to set standard. These core phrases are foundational in terms of igniting the fires or growth, empowerment, transcendence, and expansion required to fulfill our desire to be engaged, have impact, and be fulfilled, as artists. By repeating these daily, you’re actively rewiring your brain and rehearsing the mindset of your Future Self. The 7 Core Affirmations to Claim Today: 1. “Every day and every way I am getting better and better!” 2. “Every day and every way I am living and learning.” 3. “I consistently exceed my own expectations.” 4. “I choose presence over perfection.” 5. “I release fear and embrace the unknown.” 6. “I offer a unique and powerful presence.” 7. “I create with purpose and power.” 🎯 Your Challenge: The Daily 7 Ritual The challenge is for you to set aside one minute today, and every day this week, to perform the following: 1. Stand tall or sit upright. 2. Breathe deeply. 3. Speak all 7 affirmations aloud with full conviction, focusing on the feeling of each word. 4. Pick one—the one that felt the most powerful or the most challenging—and carry it with you throughout your day. Consistency is your creative superpower. Which of the seven is your focus for today? Drop it in the comments! And don't be shy... Your contributions really do make the community. Cheers! Brandon

“I consistently exceed my own expectations”
Weekly Reflection: Self-Awareness
Awareness is the bridge between participation and transformation… And it starts with us. What did you notice about yourself this week? In your focus, your fear, your discipline, your resistance — your work, your life. Anything. Nothing is too small to be meaningful here. Leave your response in the comments.

@Keshawn P THAT’s a whole word. Peace is an invaluable commodity in an industry and a world that profits from creating chaos within.

@Jin K This reminded me of something that would happen to Superman. His hearing allows him to process sounds from across the globe or even in space, and without proper mental focus, the constant influx of information (cries for help, ambient noise) can be overwhelming and disorienting. So, if he’s caught off guard by an extremely loud sound, for example, his super-hearing—which is constantly "on"—can be temporarily overwhelmed before he can adjust. Handle your increased sensitivity with care.
📌 XP, Levels & Engagement — Quick Look
⭐️ Why XP Exists... XP simply recognizes participation. It’s not competitive and not about talent — it's about showing up and participating. 🔢 How XP Is Earned: - Comment on a post → +5 - Reflection post → +10 - Practice submission (video/audio) → +25 - Feedback to 2 peers → +20 - Weekly challenge completed → +25 - Attend a live session → +30 - Milestone recognition → +50 🎓 Levels & Tiers (How We Read Them): Skool shows Levels 1–9. In this studio: - Levels 1–3 → Orientation & Engagement - Levels 4–6 → 🎓 APPRENTICE, Training and Practice (75 XP) - Levels 7–9 → 🜁 PRACTITIONER, Precision & Access (225 XP) Progression is intentional, not automatic. 📊 About Visibility: You may occasionally see references to Studio Engagement. That’s simply a snapshot of who’s been actively engaging — It's not a ranking. It's a celebration. And hopefully, an inspiration. XP supports participation and promotes progress. If you’re here and contributing... you’re doing it right.

COLLAB — Don’t Do This Alone
Welcome to the Collab section of Elemental Actors Studio Online. Acting and creative living don't thrive in isolation. This tab exists to support the part of the work that only happens with other people. Collaboration here should go beyond networking. It's about creating community through action and accountability -- generosity and shared effort — showing up for yourself and others -- and being of agency to something greater than yourself. This is the place to: - look for readers or scene partners - share ideas you don’t want to build alone (i.e. content development) - brainstorm and network with others - offer your services in response to when someone else reaches out 👉 Please watch the video first, then respond to the prompt below (REMEMBER your answers will help steer the ship and shape this community.) PROMPT: What kind of collaboration would actually support your work right now? A reader? A scene partner? A simple check-in? If you’re not sure yet, that’s okay — naming that counts too. — — Brandon

@Jin K Excellent. Great idea. Let’s keep the conversation going. Do you think a structure accountability cohort would be valuable. Maybe a “challenge” a week to help keep projects moving forward? Let’s keep the conversation going though!!

@Jean Leon Yes!!! Thank you so much for posting. BONUS: At the “Apprentice” level in this community, you’ll be able to post DIRECTLY in the Collab category. So, keep active on the boards to open that door. Will tag you on this post that lays it all out. Let’s get it!!! #noholdsbarred
MINDSET — How We Show Up
Welcome to the Mindset section of Elemental Actors Studio Online. Mindset work is introspective, but it's also essential and foundational. Mindset is described in terms of: - the beliefs we hold - the attitudes we bring to a task - qualities like confidence, resilience, and persistence And where could THAT possibly be more relevant... than in acting? What makes mindset especially important for actors is that those internal qualities don’t stay internal-they show up immediately and visibly in the work. For actors, mindset becomes practical through: - your presence and energy in the room, on set, or on stage - how available and effective you remain under pressure - how you respond or even recover when something doesn’t go as planned In the video above, I talk more about this approach and why mindset isn’t separate from craft — it’s what allows us top access it when we need it most. 👉 Please watch the video first, then respond to the prompt below (same as the video). When you think about your acting right now, what feels most challenging or unclear — not technically, but internally? You don’t need to solve it. Just name what comes to mind in this moment. — — Brandon
