Hello friends, I'm not usually the type to post super personal things on social, but this week I’m asking for a little support from this beautiful community. My 16-year-old nephew had to have brain surgery this weekend. What started as pain in his eye and headaches turned out to be a sinus infection that spread toward his brain, and the doctors had to perform a long surgery to remove the infection and relieve the pressure. The good news is that he has been progressing really quickly in his healing. He’s doing really well and recovering faster than the doctors expected, and all things considered things are moving in the right direction. There is still an aggressive infection they are treating with strong antibiotics, and he did develop a form of Meningitis that has caused some seizures ... the kind of thing you unfortunately see on medical shows. He’s young and strong, and he’s in the best hands possible… but as you can imagine, our family is very stressed right now. If you’re someone who prays, sends good energy, positive thoughts, or simply believes in holding space for someone… I would deeply appreciate you keeping him in your thoughts this week.
