A Long Overdo Check in
Good evening friends! I hope that this message finds everyone well. I've been rather inactive on here over the last week, so I thought I would do an annual check in post to see how everyone's holding up. I've just returned from a judo camp a few days ago, and have returned to my college campus, where I am currently dorming. In thirty/forty minutes time I plan to go run with the run club and go from there. My wrestling schedule for this week is a complete enigma to me right now. There is a tournament this weekend however, I will unfortunately be ineligible to compete due to clearance not being provided in time for the NCWA. A lesson learned the hard way, I suppose. Anyways, enough of my rambling. How are you all fairing? What's something you're looking forward to this week?

Considering that ties are my best friend, any kind of inside/outside tie to a sweep single. I.E. Have an inside tie with the left hand, right hand fakes at a righty high C, opponent steps leg back, sweep open all day long. Leg riding is something I'm far from mastering but still love anyways. I'll have to say for top is a crossbody bar arm with a boot in. If it's not anything from a crossbody, any cratle varriant will suffice. Bottom? A simple inside standup will do. Just need to remember not to let those legs in...
An Introduction to myself
Good evening, everyone, I hope that you all are having a wonderful weekend and are likewise well. My name is Brady Simmer, and there is a good chance I know a few of you from this community. In that case, it is a pleasure to be a part of this journey together. In case you may not, I will offer a brief introduction to who I am as well as my wrestling journey. I am visually impaired, and have been since my birth. This is due to a form of cancer called Retnenal Blastoma. This translates into my wrestling in that from the beginning of each match until its conclusion, contact must be maintained with myself at all times. If broken completely, my opponent and I are to be reset in the center of the matt, where contact is reestablished. I did not begin wrestling until my junior year of high school, an extraordinarily late time to begin a sport such as this. Nevertheless, I became infatuated with the grind, the matches, everything and all aspects this community craves. Most importantly, it gave me a sense of identity. Growing up, I was never the most confident person. However, wrestling has instilled a knowingness that, if I can adapt to the world around me through the oldest sport known to man, is there really anything else I cannot overcome? I never qualified for states; hell, I never came close. Despite holding a 20/13 record my senior year, I sprained my hand and wrestled horribly at districts. Regardless, I opted that my wrestling journey would not end there, as my hunger was not yet satiated. Fast forward to where we are now, a year into college. I did not win a single match last year. For reference, I wrestle at the club level for Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU.) However, it is college nevertheless, and wrestling is difficult no matter the level of collegiate division one pursues.
