Hello Everyone, To explain who I am and my history I will need to explain about how I was raised. My family bounced around many protestant churches in my life and I never knew anything outside that. I always knew and confirmed that God was real and that I needed him to be my savior, but the church aspect always bothered me. My parents would find a church home for a bit, but then drama would be prevelant (maybe my mother was apart of it or not, I don't really know), and then we would leave for another one. My mother always tried to get involved in whatever church she participated and I think that caused such issues, but I wasn't fully aware nor cared at the time so I thought thats just how it was. Fast forward many years later, and as a 27 year old man, I know that it is high time I took God seriously, because I know this life is vapor. Long and behold to find out that there exist a church and history that far goes after Jesus left the earth back into heaven. Thanks to social media I have now become aware of original church history, and the Orthodox faith. Nobody ever told me about such things, but as I do my research I have become more drawn to it. I feel like I can finally be apart of something that God actually had in planned for his people, and not the frivolousness that is the churches I have attended before, so I am just trying to learn more and be a doer of the word. Thank you all for reading. To Christ always be the Glory.

Hello everyone, I’m currently Protestant, and over the past year I’ve become very curious about both Orthodoxy and Catholicism. I grew up Protestant my entire life, but only recently started learning what these historic traditions actually teach. A lot of what I’ve discovered online has been eye-opening and has made me want to understand Orthodoxy much more deeply. Could anyone recommend books or resources that would help me learn the Church’s history, teachings, and what the process of becoming Orthodox looks like? I also travel around the world very often for work, so I’m wondering how someone in my situation can stay connected to the Orthodox Church. How do traveling or relocating members find parishes, stay involved, or continue attending services when they are constantly in different countries? Any guidance on good introductory books, how to begin this journey, and how to stay connected while traveling would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
