Mac + Canva Tip for Anyone Struggling With Logo Colors
I ran into this issue today with my logo. My designer gave me black and white versions of our logo—and that got old fast when trying to use it across apparel, graphics, and business assets. I wanted a gold version. No response from the designer, so I dug in and figured it out myself. If you need to change the color of your logo in Canva, here’s the process: 1. Start fresh:Open a new blank Canva file. 2. Upload your logo:Click Upload, select your PNG file, and drop it onto the canvas.Important: Make sure it’s a PNG with a transparent background. 3. Edit the effect:Select the logo → look at the left-hand side under Effects → choose Duotone. 4. Change the color:In Duotone, adjust the highlight/shadow colors to whatever you want—gold, silver, whatever fits your brand. 5. Download it:Export it as a PNG again to keep the transparency. It’s simple once you know the trick. If anyone here is stuck trying to recolor a designer-made logo, this is a cheap and effective way to take control of your branding without waiting on anyone else.
