Stop fighting your brain.
One thing I've realized is that trying to work harder isn't always the answer when you have ADHD. Often, it's about making things easier to start. If a task feels overwhelming, shrink it until it feels almost impossible to avoid. Instead of telling yourself to "finish the report", tell yourself to write one sentence. Instead of "clean the house", clear one surface. Momentum is far more powerful than motivation, and small wins often lead to bigger ones. What's one simple habit or change that's genuinely made managing your ADHD a little easier?

@Shani Sherwin, That’s a really practical shift in mindset. The way you’ve reframed it from “I failed the list” to “I completed something” is often what keeps momentum going instead of shutting everything down. What are you currently trying to get done or improve in your day-to-day at the moment where you feel you could use a bit of help or structure?

@Shani Sherwin, that makes sense; focusing on the Big Rocks is usually where the real progress comes from, even if it feels slow at first. The fact that you’re sticking with it and improving is already a good sign that you’re on the right track. What kind of business are you working on through Cohort 3? And generally, what business are you in day to day?
ADHD isn’t a focus problem, it’s a switching problem
I’ve been observing how ADHD shows up differently for people, and one thing keeps standing out. It’s not that we can’t focus. It’s that our focus doesn’t always move when we want it to. Some days you can lock in for hours on something interesting, solve problems quickly, think clearly… then struggle to start something simple like replying to a message or doing a basic task you already understand. That disconnect can feel frustrating, especially when others assume it’s just “lack of discipline” or “being distracted”. I’m curious how it shows up for others here: • What does your ADHD actually feel like on a normal day? • What situations make it harder to “switch gears”? • And what helps you get unstuck when your brain refuses to move? Would be great to hear real experiences rather than the usual stereotypes
