@Robin Riggle You're absolutely right. Period. The reason my talks are named the way they are is to prick parents' willingness - especially the parents you're talking about - to hear the information with an open mind. My experience is, when we call it things like "Responsible Parenting" it raises parents' defenses (because truthfully, it sounds judgmental if a parent already knows they are not as "on it" as they could/should be), and gives them a reason to tune out. My goal with these titles is to create space for parents to see what's in it for them, how they benefit in a selfish/self-ful way from investing themselves in parenting education. How does that sound to you?
