Funeral Today
Gentlemen, I’m attending a funeral and found that during my weight loss I had lost more than I realized. None of my clothes that I would wear to a funeral fit. Like very obviously too large for me now. So I’m stuck going business casual which kills me but I’m sure that a large number of guys going will be in jeans. I’m at least wearing chinos. I really hate going dressed down to a funeral but alas, today it’s a must. But my wife and I agreed after we return from our trip in April my wardrobe is getting a complete overhaul. Tailoring the quality pieces, donating the cheaper pieces and replacing the cheaper pieces with better fitting not as cheaper pieces that I can tailor as I continue to lose weight. Then once I get to a good spot, I’ll spend the money on real quality, long lasting items.

I would love to go suspenders but would want to wear a vest if going with jeans. Which I’m considering actually.

What Do You Know About Public School?
Good morning gentlemen, I had an interesting discussion with a man the other day, and I wanted to hear your feedback on this interesting and important topic. Now, let me say this, there are some interesting points in this, and makes you think about this as a parent, even grandparents. This not about gender profiling or bashing people who lifestyles are different. But rather, are we truly allowing this to happen? I would love to hear your views especially from those who are teachers or were teachers, what is your take on this, and the policies for the school system and why? When you send your child to school, that’s no longer your child during that time. When the police or child protection services want to talk to a child they go to the school. Think about it; that’s why they always wait for your kid to go to school, the police and CPS will wait. They go to the school and talk to them because the school is the parent now, and the school will give them access to your child. You should know the school is their parent during this time. That’s why you have to have permission to get your child out of school, you can’t just go get him out of school without their permission and sign them out; you will go to jail, it’s not your child at that time. But people don’t know this, so you give up a lot of rights by sending your children to public schools. As a parent, if an emergency was to happen in a public school in this country; and we’ve seen it, like a school shooting, a terrorist attack, or tornado, you cannot just go get your kid out because of what’s going on. Why, because you’re not parenting anymore, that’s why the school is obligated to report it if you do. That’s why if your kid in school wanted play as Charlene instead of Charleston, the school does not have to tell you. In the school they can have a dress up closet for your kids to go and dress up as a girl while at school and not tell you nothing because you’re not the parent during these hours.

My daughter who is 14 and will be going to high school next year is already eyeing colleges asked to go to a private school for high school. I told her that unfortunately transportation to a private school would be difficult if it wasn’t for the fact that we just couldn’t afford it. Now if this was 5-6 years ago when the dollar went further it might have been possible. I hate current public schools but learned during COVID that I am definitely not a teacher and that she thrives in an educational environment. Alas, public schools are the only option she has, especially living in the county of rural Virginia.

@Anthony Buntyn that is a very good point. I've never been one to be active in these areas but I also don't really know anyone that is. I might have to step up and start attending these meetings and find out exactly what is going on in the local school systems.
