My mother was a cold passionless brutal and abusive creature she was incapable of saying or expressing love and affection and yet she was a creative powerhouse a former opera singer culinary whiz and clothing designer she also stood back and would whine "oh Alvin don't hit him but" but never do anything to stop him when I took a photography I decided to get even with my mother by abusing her with my camera every chance I had I would take her photograph the funny thing about my mother was that she was like the push me pull you and Dr. Dolittle she hated it and would say Robert get away from me and then she pose for me she loved having her picture taken she couldn't deny it it's funny how people who can be so abusive can be such an amazing muse and she was a genuine muse for me so happy Mother's Day Millie from your son Robert my mother's dad finally Unfortunately even though she was a Jewish mother she wasn't what we hoped to get from a Jewish mother she was a rabid racist became a Jew for Jesus and loved football she was 94 when she died I hope she won't be waiting in the light when I pass away and be there to greet me
