Bloody Paperwork
IMCA 2025 Safety Stats (7 fatalities, 4 being offshore folks) attached is full of fancy colourful stats n graphs ... but worth a look and think over ... behind the stats there's blood n pain; reading paper can avoid creating more paper ...

Well said Sam, IMCA and FIFA have some similar bad habits with their set-up and mission in life. In saying that, IMCA do a lot of good stuff as well, especially in the absence of anything better to take up the challenge. Safety is a fragile thing, even the best need to be on their game 24/7 .. take your eye off the ball, and it'll bite you in the ass every time, cheers

They are like my red setter ... selective deafness. IMCA is managed and directed by the big players for sure and remain pretty set in their ways when it comes to taking up fresh ideas and approaches, bit of a closed shop unfortunately, so miss the chance to evolve into something better. Why are you not getting work?
I took this screenshot from LinkedIn in a discussion about how to get Work. This operations manager has said that they receive up to 1000 applications for a job and your CV must be on point. If your CV is not up to scratch it will get rejected it won’t even get past the first trap. For premium members we have a CV builder on beyond the surface offshore. There are drop-down menus you can add your own sections and it will format your CV for you no messing around with word documents. You can choose formats and customise your theme too. Simple!

Attitude counts a lot, so does professionalism - that gets out there as a thing called your "reputation" .. when I've been recruiting folks I lift the phone ... normally takes only 2-3 phone calls to people i respect and trust to get the best folks available or to check out a name new to me. Build your network of good folks, build your reputation and always turn up with the right attitude for the right reasons and hopefully you keep rolling on from job to job. Best of luck.
