The Original Imprint Behind Present Day Stress- The Fuel For The Repetition Compulsion
Most people try to fix the situation they’re in. But depth psychology has shown for over a century that we don’t just encounter random situations—we step into patterns. Freud called it repetition compulsion. Jung described it as the psyche externalizing its inner structure. Hermetic law expresses it as: as within, so without. In this session, a present-day fear of harsh punishment from authority was traced back to an early imprint of “I’m worthless” formed in childhood. When that imprint is unintegrated, the nervous system keeps expecting the same dynamic— and we respond to the world through that lens. It can feel like life keeps handing us the same experience again. When the root imprint is integrated, the internal response changes— and the pattern no longer has the same grip. This is an example of an Ascension Psychology™ inner child integration process. Small group healing with personal work February 19–20 DM to attend.
