What's your DAW?
What DAWs is everyone using and why did you choose that particular one or more? Mine is Steinberg Nuendo 4.3. I also just got FL Studio.

Logic Pro and Luna. I chose Logic first (before Luna existed) because of the amount of samples, instruments, loops, features, and very capable stock plugins that come with it for one price ($200); no subscription at that time. Luna came along, and I had some UA plugins, did some research, gave the free version a spin (eventually to Pro) and really appreciated the amount of thought and work that went into how easy Luna is to operate. Luna shines bright regarding recording.

Practice, experiment with the settings, experiment with different compressors. But! I will say the Open Compressor is a fantastic way to see how the settings are effecting the source while listening to the results. That wasn't intended as an attempt for points. That was stated because it really helped me to understand what was happening.

What would it be? Right now… for me it would be a toss up between a Massive Passive, Pultec… or The Swift from Thermionic Culture. I’ll let you know if I decide 🤷♂️
