How to open IBKR account & apply for option permission level 3 & exchange/deposit money
1. Open your IBKR account using my referral link. It will be a US account, so you’ll need to convert your funds to USD before depositing. https://ibkr.com/referral/wenyi422 2. Fill in your personal info to open the account, better to open a "margin" account (account type: trading), instead of "cash" account (account type: investment). 3.provide details about your income, net worth, and investing experience. We need option level 3 permission, please refer to the attached screenshots — I think they should be sufficient. (pic 1 and 2) 4.Apply for option permission: 1️⃣ Open the IBKR website → log in to your account 2️⃣ Go to the Client Portal (account dashboard) 3️⃣ Click your profile icon in the top right corner → select "Settings" ->"Trading permission" -> "Request Option" (see picture 3-5) 5. How to funding Your Account: Once your account is ready, you’ll need to fund it with USD. Steps: IBKR website -> login to your account -> Transfer & Pay -> Transfer Funds -> Deposit Funds Then follow the instructions; (pic 6) Based on different currency selections, there are different methods to fund your account. (pic 7). For example, if you're using AUD, then you can transfer from WISE balance or even BPAY; If you need to convert your currency to USD, I recommend to use CurrencyFair. It’s the cheapest way I’ve found, and once you set it up, it’s super easy. My referal link:https://www.currencyfair.com/rafland/?channel=R7JA81 Let's Rock and Roll! Wendy

[Session4 Live] Are you ready to make more money? :)
Our Session 4 will start at 4:30 pm Sydney time this Sunday, Feb 22nd. On this Sunday: - We’ll begin with a review of all the Rule One option strategies we've learned so far. I’ve put them into a comparison chart for easier consumption. - Then, we'll move into the concept of standard credit spread options, but we will use them in a different way for much higher potential returns, which is called ROCS. This is one of my most lucrative strategies—it could be a very sharp weapon. - After that, we will briefly talk about some basics of charting - technical analysis part 1. - Toward the end, let's look at a few current investing/trading ideas (not financial advice) Make sure to review the previous sessions beforehand and bring your questions with you. See you there! Wendy

Keep a Beginner’s Mindset — and Commit to One Strategy Only
If you truly want to make serious money in the stock market over the long run — and if you really understand the big picture and believe in value investing methodology — then you must keep a beginner’s, empty-cup mindset. When learning anything, you need to unlearn your old habits and mindset first. Study the framework carefully, understand it deeply, and execute it exactly as designed. Don’t mix in random methods from other people along the way. There are plenty of YouTube channels teaching options, and every stock platform has opinions about what a company is “worth.” What you really don’t know is their time horizon, their thinking framework, their actual goals or if they are proven successful — are they looking at the next 10 days, 3 months, or 10 years? With different lenses and timelines, the conclusions can be completely different. And most of them are traders, not investors. If you keep absorbing scattered opinions from everywhere, you end up with a confused strategy and inconsistent actions. The usual result is either losing money — or making far less than you could have. Slow down. Ground yourself. Fully understand one coherent system, and then follow it with discipline. Your first six months are not about rushing to make big money. They are about building your system, your discipline, your mindset and your conviction. If you start off casually and loosely, you will drift off track very quickly. I just added 2 posts in our course: [Feb.10] Wendy's Paper Trading - for demo purposes only https://www.skool.com/wnedys-group-3133/classroom/a1b5ffd9?md=29bbabb4c7434d97a36e84f0691c958c [Feb.10] Phil’s Trades Executed in His Funds Today https://www.skool.com/wnedys-group-3133/classroom/a1b5ffd9?md=4139a7dc3166447f8dc33d27d6b7818e Please take the time to fully understand the content — you’ll see it’s truly a path that can help you break out of the prison.

Great advice Wendy, and thanks for the added posts.
Post your questions and takeaways from Session 1-2
Great to see you yesterday on Session 2. I believe you’re all starting to feel the power of options and getting a bit excited. But again — we must stay disciplined and follow the rules. The recording and PPT for Session 2 have been uploaded to Skool. My observations from yesterday. - We only use options trading with Wonderful Companies (WC's). - We need these WC's to be at either the buy price or close to the buy price. I hope that is accurate. Questions - As we are not covering how we can find wonderful companies in this course, we need to rely on yours and Phil's list of wonderful companies, correct? - We would use these companies that you provide us for options trading. - How many wonderful companies are suitable for this at any given time? For example, if Phil or you have a watchlist of only 5-10 companies, and only two of them are at the right price, does that mean we can only use options for those two companies? - If a WC hits the buy price, do we only buy them through options trading, or do you ever just buy the shares through a direct purchase without using options? - If you bought a company through selling a PUT, would you ever sell a call right away on those shares at a higher price to make more money in options off those shares?
IBKR Account
Do we set up an Australian account and use AUD, do we convert USD to send to this, or do we set up a US IBKR account and send USD?

Thanks Fady. I will check out the transfer and let you know what I find regarding the exchange rate as well. As far as I know my IBKR account is all approved and ready to go.
