I use it for help when writing software/programs. It isn't always great at creating code from scratch (even though it does improve with each release). I mainly use it by giving it the code I've come up with along with any errors that are coming out of it. Saves tons of time poring through code to find stupid errors like missing semicolons or whatever else. I did pay the $20 for ChatGPT+ for a month or two, but switched to using LibreChat. That's an open-source ChatGPT clone where you can plug in your OpenAI API Key. Just pay as you go. I had it on AWS, and recently checked and it came to about $20/month to have it on there, so the cost was basically the same (except for paying for my own API usage, of course). Biggest benefit there is there are no usage rate caps on it like with ChatGPT. Downside was it wasn't always stable on the "free eligible" tier of aws. Trade-offs either way. Still deciding how to move forward. I use it for stuff other than code too. It's pretty versatile.
I'm here! I just started seeing all the adds on Instragram for Skool not too long ago, since I follow Alex. Then I got Dennis' email about here here, so I figured I'd be square (L7 for fellow Monk fans!) if I weren't here. Anyhoo. Here I am!
