Great session today!
After being away for a couple of weeks, I returned to class this morning! I'm happy to say that it was an outstanding session. I'm relatively new to Spanish (still at some stage of "beginner" after 18 or so months), but understand much, much more than I'm able to speak. Since I last attended class, the class format and structure have improved in ways that I believe will help me to get more out of the classes than I did initially. Thanks, Michael, and thanks for creating this excellent program! I'm looking forward to more outstanding sessions!

Sorry that I’ll miss it. Schedule conflict! 🥲
Eager to learn to converse
I'm an old, retired guy who's been studying Spanish a bit for the last couple of years just to keep my mind active. I had two weeks of immersion in Málaga, Spain, last year, and plan to go back for two more in October. I'm not really conversational at all, so I want to get lots of practice prior to going back to Spain.

Hi, Emily! I'm not really conversant, but I'm trying. Our paths might not cross since you're at an advanced level. Thanks for the comment.

Emily, I saw another comment from you, but can't find it now. Unfortunately, I don't recall where you said you live in Texas. My wife and I are both from Alabama originally, but have lived in Texas for 19 of the past 25 years with Alaska and South Korea sprinkled into those other six years. We're in Kingwood, a suburb on the northeast side of Houston.
Question about Lesson 4 (not mini-lesson)
First, is this the right place to ask a question about a specific course, or is there some place that I haven't found that allows me to ask a question within the lesson itself? My question is this: the lesson says "No te preocupes" for don't worry. I can't figure out why it has the "es" ending for an "ar" reflexive verb (preocuparse). Is this getting into the subjunctive?
