Everybody’s projects are looking so wonderful!!! ❤️❤️❤️ I finished up on the weekend, but I was considering ripping back and changing out my Colour B (the pale mint). Now, I think it has grown on me, but I’m not totally sure. I steam blocked clue 1, but not 2 yet, so hopefully that puckering will disappear when I do 🤞

This is the first time I’ve used slip stitches to create a texture. I misread the first chart, and did one less purl row, which resulted in a muted round of texture. I decided to go rogue with the color suggestions and make the second round pop, kind of like the difference between the Parthenon now versus how it must have looked when freshly built. So not all mistakes are detrimental, sometimes they are a happy accident as Bob Ross would say. I love the effect of a “worn” texture row falling into a “crisp” texture segment. I also could not help myself and added some razzle dazzle! My first mystery project and it’s so fun! I deliberately waited longer to start so I didn’t blow through it too fast hehe!

So I had prepared a whole selection of yarn from my stash, but I get inspiration for colorwork once I see charts. My Christmas sweater’s modifications are an example of how I go off the rails once I see how the charts look. So I decided to go for a softer look, focusing on dichromatic hues. B and D are the same for me (grey+pink) while C is pink and A is grey. I love the way it’s coming out and it’s vibing rosettes like my cat for me.
