I know I've been quiet. I was tied up with a three-day event, the Clearwater Marathon Running Festival. Nothing beats watching so many people accomplish so much. Made many new friends as 60 percent of the people doing one or more of the events were from out-of-state, an excellent weekend to be in this area. Note the man, seated, holding a marathon medal. That's Kevin. He and his wife were on the way home from a group run 17 months ago when they were t-boned by another car, fracturing his leg. Sunday's race was his comeback statement. The woman in the pink shirt, in the photo with me, is my 78-year old friend, Barbara, who just did her 32nd marathon in November - with an artificial knee. The woman in the turquoise shirt, the one I'm pointing at (we call it a PR point), was in my recent coaching group where she learned to use high cadence, and it has paid off. The message? You can do it! You can do whatever you want to do. I hope the weather wasn't too bad where you are. I'm sure it did disrupt training for some of you, and I totally understand.
