Progress with my sound sensitivity
Just walked by a primary school with children playing and having a lot of fun (with a lot of noise of cause), to try to get used to sound in the outside world. And it went really well! Hope to be able to join my daughter (who is a scouting leader) at her group having a daughter/ daddy weekend for a few hours.
Nice win over Easter
Just wanted to let everyone know that I survived my Easter dinner with my entire family!!! They are all loud talkers ( most are senior citizens) and I was able to actually enjoy myself. I was a little nervous at first but as the day went on we had a great dinner and some nice conversations 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I could understand them all. Overall I enjoyed the evening and look forward to more. The noise did what it wanted and I did what made me feel happy!!! God bless!!!

That's great!
💬 What’s ONE daily habit that helps your tinnitus?
Not 5 things. Not a full routine. Just one simple thing you do regularly that helps you feel a bit more calm, in control, or less focused on the sound. 👉 What’s the one thing you keep coming back to? Comment below. Let's learn from each other. 🙏

Doing things I really enjoy. Walking. listening to the birds singing and watching them, playing piano or guitar. Great thing is the latter two of those are getting doable again despite my sound sensivity. Progress 😀.
Who Wants to See Something the Public Doesn’t Have Access to Yet? 👀
I just finished a new tinnitus video that will be released on YouTube tomorrow morning. But I’m thinking of giving early access to the members of this wonderful community first. If there's interest... 🤔 If you'd like to see the video before it goes public, and you're willing to share a little feedback after watching it: 👉 Comment YES below. If enough people are interested, I'll share the private early-access link right here!

@Guy Cohen I think it is a great video. In my journey to overcome imsomnia we also use CGT and it did surely help me. We used "thought tables" to analyse the thought to see what a better reaction to your thought is. We also had a list of questions we could ask ourself for a better reaction. It might be a good idea to provide such a thought table and list of questions in your classroom section.
Hyperacusis
Any community member suffer from sound sensitivity ? Do you still have it ? If you had it but don’t anymore how did you overcome this condition ? How long did it take you to overcome this over amplification by your brain ?

@Guy Cohen For me it is still a challenge. One day is better than the other. Positive thing is that I'm now able to work some hours at the office, so my brain is getting used to that again (slowly). What I try to do is challenge myself to do things I find difficult, like going to the supermarket. And of course sound therapy like Guy advises.

@Guy Cohen I do some relaxation after getting up in the morning, in the evening and before bed. The before bed relaxation is often not finished due to falling asleep during doing it.
