Mandarin-First UGC Creator|Helping Global Brands Reach Affluent Chinese-Speaking Audiences
Hi everyone, I’m Mark, a Taiwan-based entrepreneur, brand strategist, and business consultant with more than 20 years of experience. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with startups, entrepreneurs, and global companies on branding, market strategy, and business growth. Now, I’m stepping into UGC as a creator because I believe brands also need mature, credible voices—especially when communicating products that require trust, experience, and purchasing power. My primary focus is creating Mandarin UGC for global brands that want to connect with Chinese-speaking audiences across Taiwan and international Chinese communities. Mandarin-speaking consumers around the world are highly active on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other short-form video platforms. Yet there is still a shortage of localized content created for mature professionals, entrepreneurs, decision-makers, and affluent consumers. This is the audience I understand and hope to help global brands reach. The categories I’m most interested in include: • AI and SaaS • Productivity and business tools • Online education • Finance and professional services • Premium lifestyle, travel, and wellness brands Mandarin is my strongest language, and I’m also available for English-language UGC with concise, conversational scripts—particularly product demonstrations, short-form ads, testimonials, voiceovers, and visually led content. I’m currently building my first UGC portfolio and learning how to turn brand briefs into effective scripts, videos, and professional deliverables. I’d be happy to connect with brands, agencies, and creators who are interested in Mandarin localization or reaching high-value Chinese-speaking audiences worldwide. Finally, @Gloria Stonelake , thank you for creating UGC World and building such a valuable community. You’ve helped so many creators gain direction, develop their skills, and turn UGC into real opportunities. I’m grateful to be here and excited to begin this journey with everyone🤍

I really love how you’re bringing your 20+ years of experience into UGC and focusing on connecting global brands with Chinese-speaking audiences. Your niche in AI, SaaS, business tools, and premium lifestyle brands sounds incredibly valuable. I’m sure your mature and professional perspective will make your content stand out. Wishing you lots of success as you build your portfolio and start this exciting UGC journey! 🤍✨ It’s great to have you in the community!
Copyright on Insta?
I don't udnerstand the copyright scene on instagram. If I use trendy audio for a UGC reel, will I get copyrighted? I see some creators doing it and it seems to be fine. If not, is there a way to avoid being copyrighted? More importantly, when making UGC for a brand, do I just not risk it and use non-copyrighted audio? Where do I find that? Is this an actual issue or am I just overthinking? 🫠

@Lulu Deer Great question! 😊 You're definitely not overthinking it, copyright can be confusing at first. For organic Instagram content, trending audio is usually fine when used through Instagram's music library. But for brand UGC, it's much safer to use royalty-free or licensed music, since brands often use that content in ads where copyright rules are stricter. I’m back to UGC after months away
Hi everyone! After taking a long break from UGC for personal reasons, I’m finally back. This time I have a lot more motivation and discipline, but honesty I have no idea where to start. I feel lost. My goal is to leave my shift job and build a career with UGC, but right now I can’t afford to join the Academy. I was wondering if anyone here has managed to change their life using only the free resources on this platform, like the UGC Games and the other free tools. Is it actually possible to land clients and build a sustainable income this way? I’d really love to hear your experience or any advice you have. Thank you so much! ❤️

"Affiliates"
So many brands have "affiliate programs". They look pretty much the same as UGC vids on social media. How do I pitch UGC to a brand that has its own affiliate program? They have their own creators.

@Lulu Deer Even if a brand already has an affiliate program, you can still successfully pitch yourself as a UGC creator. The key is to position yourself based on the unique value you bring. Rather than focusing on promoting products to your own audience, emphasize that you create authentic, high-quality content the brand can use across its own social media channels, website, email campaigns, and paid advertisements. Many brands intentionally work with both affiliates and UGC creators because they serve different purposes. Affiliates help drive sales through their audiences, while UGC creators provide engaging content that brands can repurpose to build trust and improve the performance of their marketing campaigns. There's a simple strategy that can make your pitch stand out and significantly increase your chances of getting a positive response. Have you pitched any brands yet, or are you just getting started? I'd be happy to share a few practical tips that can help you approach brands with confidence and improve your results.
