With all my tattoos, I won't get the trust for a charity auction 😂 So, sale barn and dusty cattle for me please 🤠 And sorry for my rusty speaking flow. I understand everything what you all are saying, even anybody shows up with southern drawl. But I do not often get the chance to speak English here in Germany, so I have to practice speaking flow besides the normal auction chants.

@Marijuana Vandyck Thank you. That is motivational speech 😊 And the idea with the different photos is smart.
Number Practice
Do you find any benefit in practicing numbers this way? This isn’t anything that I learned in auction school, it is something that seemed to make sense to me given the following idea: You’re out at 10, I’m bid 20, now 30? 10-20-30 20-30-40 30-40-50 40-50-60 50-60-70 60-70-80 70-80-90 80-90-100

There are benefits of all ways to practice numbers, down and up and mixed random to a jambalaya style. I also use a online random number generator to be forced to throw in given numbers while doing fillers. ( But a German so you have to search for an US version by yourself 😅) At the auction you have to follow the buyers and the mood in the sale barn or Auto auction house, so I think to get out the comfort zone is the most important. A other method I use is to count numbers down to every single position at big numbers like 480256 to get the brain more "activated". So my approach went well for me, to get the fillers by rote and then start to throw in the numbers, so I can get the focus on them. Now I am adding more and more numbers to create a well balanced mix of fillers and numbers for chant training.

@Bobby D. Ehlert That is an awesome idea 🥳 Thank you. That helps a lot and is running also in the Chrome browser, cause I have no apple computer 😅 That is new to me to give orders to the computer over the internetbrowser like this. The counter with the interval of choosable seconds is perfect to get pressure in. Really, that helps a lot for my practice 👍

Nonverbal Communication is the most important part!
One thing we don’t practice much is our body language. I found this recently and thought I needed to share this: You’ll usually hear “93% of communication is nonverbal.” That number is widely quoted—and widely misunderstood. Here’s the accurate breakdown. Where the 93% comes from The figure comes from research by Albert Mehrabian, who studied communication only when emotions or attitudes conflict with words. In those specific situations, he found: - 55% body language - 38% tone of voice - 7% words 55 + 38 = 93% nonverbal What that does not mean It does not mean: - 93% of all communication is nonverbal - Words don’t matter - Content is irrelevant If you’re giving directions, teaching math, or explaining a contract, words matter a lot. The real takeaway (and the useful one) - Words carry information - Tone and body language carry meaning - When words and nonverbal cues conflict, people trust the nonverbal That’s why someone can say “I’m fine” and no one believes them. Practical version (especially for stages, meetings, and fundraising) In persuasive, emotional, or leadership communication: - Nonverbal cues often matter more than the exact words - Confidence, pacing, eye contact, posture, and vocal energy drive trust - Words without congruent nonverbal delivery lose power This is why it is so important to video your performances and practice in front of a mirror a few times a week. You have to be purposeful in those movements!

That was one of my keys to get better at sports. Gopro cam and watch your practice sessions at evening on your computer, so you can work on everything in peace and get advise online. I have to make a few practice videos of bidcalling too, with my webcam. And I think it is the complete package of your appearance that matters. Not only speech, not only motion, not only what and how you speech. If anybody with the perfect body language and voice tone talks nonsense. It is still nonsense 😅 no matter how well balanced his voice is. And congruence is the key as well. In my hoody and the cowboy hat I am feeling congruent. In a tuxedo it will feel unusual for me and that would ruin any congruence.
Double up example
Here's a good example of how i double up an item. A little chant fun too...
