Thanks for sharing. Assuming the usage is for more than just the regular chat function (in Claude's case at least Cowork, maybe even Code), setting up your system to use the cheaper (usually Chinese) models requires some technical know-how - or a willingness to learn. Most users don't fit this profile. This is an unspoken cost. Claude offers a SaaS experience: nice interface, ease of use. Also, the Pro version of Claude is definitely heavily subsidised by Anthropic and their investors, and I'll happily take advantage of it until it goes away.
