Ai...what's the mood what's good?
I'm sure we're aware of the noise around Ai. Anyone been experimenting, what's been useful? Anyone feeling threatened? I think it's good to share notes. I've lowkey been researching bots as they are the foundation of alot of Ai.
Go where you celebrated
watup BMN last year I learnt the value of being part of a community of like minded artists so I'm honoured to be in this one. I've also learnt how adding value wherever you can is lowkey the most effective way of networking. I just won artist of the year in Dubai after being here just under a year. I want to remind all the creators here there is a whole world out there, if your neighborhood, circle, or even city don't appreciate you yet - there is whole world to reach out to. I'm taking notes tho, what's the biggest lesson you learnt last year?

@Nashema Heard thanks for sharing, that's real. Yeh it took me awhile to learn that principle, it can be counter intuitive and in music we aren't taught to think like that. The word Value is thrown alot these days but is illusive šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø But simple as showing up, consistency, sharing experience, supporting someone else can be extremely valuable. We all have alot to share and value to bring as we all have different experiences. But yeh that shift in perspective was a game changer for me.

Marketing assistance
Hey everyone, so I’m gearing up to release an EP next month and uploading tracks getting stuff submitted to Spotify, etc. next month for the next three months, I’ll be putting $500 into Google ads and splitting the budget between four different songs. I already have a lead song in mind and there’s a separate single that’s been gaining traction that’s outside of the concept of this project, but I might also start putting money into. This is all based off YouTube numbers since that’s where I primarily post my stuff. My channel has racked up nearly a quarter million views over the last few months because I’ve been posting Dragon ball shorts with my music playing and the content seems to work and there’s a small funnel effect into my music depending on the song. So to get to my point, I think I’m position right to start gaining some real traction. Once money starts getting put into my music and I have a good grasp on where I want to take things at who my fan base is but the patch is I am completely blind, and have been for several years. I want to work alongside somebody or get some assistance in setting up this first ad campaign. I’ve done one before on my phone but the results were iffy because there’s a difference between what I can do on my phone versus what I can do on a computer. I have assistance for various things on the computer for music production, but I want to work alongside somebody who actually knows what they’re doing in the advertisement field. That way I can better communicate with other people in the future what I need help with when it comes to setting the stuff up if anybody that’s willing to help ends up, not always having time. my current goals are building up my numbers for social proof and high engagement in the comment sections. I think it’s important to have a responsive community so that overtime it’ll listen my need to pay for marketing and I just have a Fanbase that can move things for me. So, if anybody’s willing to take the time to help me what we would do is probably once or twice a week either through a phone call or we could screen share doesn’t matter what type of computer, we could work together and figuring out these advertisements and tracking the data. I don’t have anything to offer as of right now but I do have music engineering experience, production experience, songwriting experience, and if a good enough relationship is built, we could even talk about splits. I produce all of my own music and I have systems set up to help me operate as an artist best I can and I’m still growing so if anybody could lend a hand, I would be extremely thankful.

Congrats on the views bro sounds like you got some traction šŸ‘šŸ¾ I'm not an ad pro, but I've run a few ads. if no one responds here take the time to learn how to do it yourself (not what you were asking for lol) Having someone help with one campaign is cool but if you don't learn the principles does it help? Its about experimenting and making mistakes.
Record deal or loan funding?
In order to fund/finance your music career, would you rather sign a record deal or obtain a loan from a bank?

I'd personally focus on building leverage and my own audience before even thinking about a label or funding.
Music distribution
Of Distrokid, Amuse, TuneCore, CD Baby, among others, what would be your first choice to distribute your music to the DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc), and how is your platform of choice better than the others?

I've tried a few. Best advice I think is to actually seek out smaller distributors. There are actually alot more than you think that are actively looking for artists. I know one here hmu. If you got somebody you can personally build a relationship with that's šŸ’Æ, then you two can coordinate releases together. But think about what's the priority for you, region? Which store? That will also focus your search. Whoever you go with make sure to mail them first and check how responsive their support is.
