What do you need help with? How can you help others?
We did this a few weeks ago, but it feels valuable enough to do it again. Share in the comments below what you currently need help with and/or how you can help others. We have some amazing folks in this community, let's connect! Had a wonderful meeting earlier today, with @Tiffany Noel Taylor . She helped me with my About page and gave me some ideas about how I can spread the word about the Thrive Community. I helped her with some aspects of her health and wellness and referred her to our amazing resident Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. @Abigail Seaver . It felt wonderful to give and receive in this way, to help and receive help, all in one fun chat!

Any caster oil fans?
I learned about the benefits of caster oil several months ago and have since been a great fan of putting caster oil packs on my stomach with a heat pack a few times a week. I'm also familar with the basic premise of lymphatic drainage. Around a week ago I saw a reel about using caster oil on your neck for your thyroid, I know I'm dealing with a lot of stress atm and believe my thyroid is affected so started doing a daily lymphatic drainage massage on my neck and I can honestly say I've noticed a difference. Anyone else use caster oil? And in what way?

I love castor oil and prescribe it for many uses, especially on a compress over the liver/gallbladder for constipation, gallstones, detoxification, over the mid-abdomen for pancreatitis and over the lower abdomen for uterine fibroids, endometriosis and ovarian cysts.

😋 My Iron Rich substitute for Chocolate Milk 😋
Okay, it’s not really even close but it always makes me think of chocolate milk when I drink this! It’s simply a Tablespoon of good quality blackstrap molasses stirred into milk! This glass is dark cause I was using the last of the milk we had so it’s stronger than I normally make it but still very yummy! I’m using cows milk and it’s not raw cause raw pretty much costs the same as a car these days (yeah, not really, but feels like it PLUS there’s a LOT of rigamaroll to even be able to access it here in Canada unless you have your own cow!) Any version of plant milk could work too!! Now that I’ve finished our milk, I need other ways to down a Tbsp of molasses a day - I can take it straight but would love to mix things up :) Anybody got other suggestions?

Hi Lisa, I would be happy to help you with iron deficiency due to heavy menses. I specialize in Women's Health and hormone balance and treat gynecological problems with natural therapies. It is important to treat the underlying cause of the problem with iron deficiency, otherwise it is difficult to get traction with repleting iron.

SIBO- Session 2 of the Thriving Gut Series
You can find Dr @Abigail Seaver here in this group, you can even direct message her! And you can also find her on her website, www.drabigailseaver.com At this session, we delved into Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) and did a fun, Thriving Gut guided relaxation/visualization at the end. If you have ever been diagnosed with or suspected Irritable Bowel Syndrome, chances are good that SIBO has been a part of that. How to know if SiBo might be a factor for you? - Gas and bloating after every meal, especially meals with fiber and prebiotics like garlic, leeks, asparagus - Nutrient deficiencies- iron, zinc, vitamin D, calcium deficiencies, etc. for no clear reason- microbes in your small intestine make nutrient absorption more difficult - Fat Malabsorption/ not being able to digest fat well, you might literally notice globs of fat in the toilet at times What makes SIBO worse? - Sugar and all kinds of sweeteners - Medications like Antibiotics, acid blockers, steroids What makes SIBO better? - Movement and exercise, whatever you enjoy, helps keep things humming happily in your digestive system - Spacing out meals- having at least 14 hours between dinner and breakfast, reducing snacks to give time between meals - Might need herbal antibiotics to treat the infection, and then rebuild with healthy probiotics and prebiotics
