@Chris Hanlon and I have been working on a workshop, Turn your Story into an Authority, and we thought it would be best to hear from him about what you can do when your book is published. I know many of you are interested in speaking and getting your story out into the world in different ways! 🥳 So, we’ll be doing a cross interview where I interview Chris about this topic since he’s been coaching people to do speeches for TedX for over 12 years. Then, he’ll interview me and I’ll explain more on turning a speech into a book! 📕 I highly suggest to come to this call! 📱 There’s a lot to gain from it and it will give you a little taste of our upcoming workshop on August 6th! The World is in a Fog… 🌫️

I stumble in place, wondering which way is up. My body staggers and I hit the floor, only to find I’m surrounded by books.📚 Books scattered all over the floor, calling for me and there right in front of me is my pen. It starts to glow and say, “Take me, I’m yours!” 🖊️ My eyes light up and I can feel the grin take over my face as I reach out for it, and in that moment, I feel light, warm and at peace. 😊 This is how I feel when I allow myself to get carried away writing. ✍️ It’s like I’ve been teleported to my peaceful place. I let go of any stress for the daily life and let myself drift away in my writings. Have you ever felt like this? not meant to be anything, this is from my private phone notes/rants: 'They say this is home I don’t know How this place that makes me sneeze And gives me a case of longing Could be home My mystical powers feel weak I have to grow out my hair here Attracting the wrong type of humans By the way I look I don’t recognize what the mirrors reveal Do you know what this feels like? Not looking for too long I have to go They say this is home As if I am An LA representative Here to take your concerns I am weary of those that act as if They know my heart As if it lives in my lips And not these teary eyes This place and it’s people are thirsty They want to drink you and say they Grew you Take some ownership of you Maybe this is what knowing a place is Taking it in so deep You either come out in love Or with pieces of yourself missing They say this is home As if I am An LA representative Here to take your concerns I’m told not everyone is out to hurt me I guess I’m part trauma response now Searching for that song that cracks me open Holding on strong"
