Four habits that waste time and productivity
1. Social media. Many people spend too much time on social media. This time can be spent reading and studying God's word, reading and Journaling, or even engaging in a hobby. Or taking a walk and enjoying God's natural beauty. Proverbs14:12 TPT [12] You can rationalize it all you want and justify the path of error you have chosen, but you’ll find out in the end that you took the road to destruction. 2.Waking up late every morning. When people wake up late there are many things you are not able to do. Examples: spend time with God, make breakfast and pack your lunch. Guess what happens? You have to buy both breakfast and lunch. This can adds up. $15 a day, $300 a month, $3600 a year. This money can be saved or put in a retirement fund. Proverbs 6:9 TPT. So wake up, sleepyhead. How long will you lie there? When will you wake up and get out of bed? 3. Procrastinating I remembered reading a story about a troop of monkeys. They played all day when the sun shone but it rained every night and they would say, "we will build a house "; but when morning come they forgot. People can be like that, but that can make you waste time and productivity. Let's learn to do what we can today instead of putting it off. Proverbs 6:10-11 TPT [10] If you keep nodding off and thinking, “I’ll do it later,” or say to yourself, “I’ll just sit back awhile and take it easy,” just watch how the future unfolds! [11] By making excuses you’ll learn what it means to go without. Poverty will pounce on you like a bandit and move in as your roommate for life. 4. Not saving for the future There are people who do not follow the principles of giving to God and saving. Especially if you have a 401k at your job. You are throwing away money if you do not put money in your retirement. God has given us 90% for ourselves we need to use it wisely. Proverbs 6:7-8 TPT [7] The ants have no chief, no boss, no manager— no one has to tell them what to do. [8] You’ll see them working and toiling all summer long, stockpiling their food in preparation for winter.
