šŸŒ A Little Sweetness (Without the Guilt)
So yesterday we talked about diets…and a month or so ago members were asking for recipes. Okay, yesterday we really talked about moving more and eating healthier šŸ˜‰ Which is great… until you want something warm, soft, and a little sweet. That’s where this Banana Loaf from our Healthy Home Cooking collection comes in šŸ’› It’s a Southern favorite...with a mindful twist. We swap some of the oil and butter with applesauce, so you still get that moist, cozy goodness… just a little lighter. Same comfort. Less guilt. More feel-good. Honestly, it smells like self-care while it’s baking. 😊 BANANA LOAF (Makes 2 loaves; serves 24) Ingredients 3 cups all purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1-1/4 teaspoons baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon nutmeg 2 eggs 1-1/2 cup sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla 5 ripe bananas 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil non-stick cooking spray 1 cup chopped walnuts - optional Directions 1. Preheat oven 350 degrees. 2. In a bowl sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. 3. Beat eggs in a large separate bowl. 4. Add sugar, applesauce, oil, and vanilla to eggs. Mix well. 5. Add flour mixture to egg mixture. 6. Mash banana and add to the mix. Stir well. 7. Pour into 2 loaf pans (8-1/2 x 4-1/2/2x2-1/2-inch) coat- ed with non-stick cooking spray. 8. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Cool in pan on rack for 3-5 minutes. Remove from pan and finish cooling. Self-Care on Hard Days šŸ’›
Some days, self-care won’t look pretty… and that’s okay. When you’re living with a chronic illness, it’s not about doing more, is it? It’s about honoring what your body needs today. Maybe that looks like: ✨ Getting out of bed ✨ Drinking some water ✨ Saying ā€œnoā€ without guilt ✨ Resting before you crash That’s not lazy. That’s strength. Your self-care might be slower, quieter, and different. It still counts. It matters. Gentle reminder: you don’t have to earn your rest. If this is you ā˜ļøwhat’s one small way you’re caring for yourself today? šŸ’¬

I'd say Star Trek but that's not on now, alas. So... does writing sales pages count? šŸ™‚
Self care is so much easier when it comes from the right place 🌿
If you've been pushing through your workouts, your meals, your self-care routine — and it still feels like a grind — can I offer something? It might not be a discipline problem. It might be an alignment problem. When what you do every day actually matches what you value ... not what you think you should do, but what genuinely matters to you ... showing up for yourself starts to feel natural. Even restful. šŸ’› Think about why you're really here. What do you want to feel like? What does a healthy, vibrant version of you actually look like? Let that lead, not guilt, not pressure. You deserve to feel good in a way that's truly yours. 🌸 šŸ’¬ What's one thing you do for your health that genuinely lights you up ... not because you have to, but because it just feels right?

@Chassity Cannon A very good thing that is.
You're Invited to something simple, yet powerful šŸ’›
If you haven’t been active in this community, this is your gentle nudge to start. Not with anything big or complicated. Just small journal-style posts and little daily wins. That’s it. This can be your space to show up as you are… To share a moment from your day… To celebrate something you did (whether it feels tiny - made my bed 4 days in a row or big - did the interview and got the contract). To share a journal prompt you used and found insightful... To share a book you've read and would love to share with others... And the beautiful part — when you share your wins, you’re not just motivating yourself… you’re encouraging someone else who needed to see that today. If you’ve been looking for a place where you can be supported, seen, and cheered on… this is that space. So go ahead… make your first post. Share a win. Share a thought. Let us celebrate you ✨

I dove head-first into self-education wrt Claude Cowork and ... wow is what I created!
Your comeback story...
We all love a good comeback story… and let’s be real—some of us are living one right now. šŸ‘€ And if there’s anyone who embodies that energy, it’s Lady Gaga. Before the fame, the glam, the iconic everything… she was getting hit with rejection after rejection. Dropped by her first record label? Yep. Most people would’ve taken that as a sign to play small. Not her. She pivoted. Reinvented. Got louder. Got bolder. Got more herself. And here’s the part I respect the most... she didn’t just show us the highlight reel. She’s been real about the hard stuff too… PTSD, chronic pain, the pressure of being in the spotlight. No pretending. No polishing it up. Just truth. Because she knows something a lot of us forget: šŸ‘‰ Your struggles don’t get the final say. šŸ‘‰ Your past doesn’t get to call the shots. šŸ‘‰ YOU do. So if you’ve been sitting on something… A dream. A decision. A version of you that’s been waiting patiently (or not so patiently šŸ˜)… Maybe this is your moment to stop asking for permission and start reclaiming it. On your terms. Alright, I’m curious… šŸ’¬ What’s something in your life you've taken control of?

Oh, 'waaaaay back when, folks doubted my ability to monetize breaking the Google Code. So what I did was build an autoblogging platform that was installable on any domain. At my peak, had something like... 3 figures' worth of domain names. Loved that time!
