Anyone have little moments of motherhood that feels wildly different to what you expected? This morning my 8 year did a load of washing, made my coffee & emptied the dishwasher…WITHOUT BEING ASKED!!! & at that moment I felt grief & excitement all at the same time 🤯 an overwhelming feeling of not being needed by him anymore and a pride that he can do things independently 😭 What wild moments have you experienced that surprised you?

I get asked at almost every discharge visit I do with my midwifery clients.... When does it get easier? Now I know what my go to answer is, given I've looked after hundreds of women & had 2 babies of my own! But what I really want is your take on this question?
