Post Your Resume/CV Below - Let’s Make It Stronger 💪
Your CV doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be clear. If you want some feedback, drop yours below (PDF, screenshot, or Google link). I’ll point out: • what stands out • what’s holding you back • the quickest wins • what recruiters REALLY look for No judgement. No shame. Everyone here is improving together. If you’re nervous about posting it publicly, send it privately, that’s fine too. Let’s get your CV working for you, not against you.

For me, it’s that intrusive thought of feeling like it’s getting later and later to finally get hired. Of course deep down, I know thats not the case at all. I read a post on LinkdIn that actually talked about this. Can’t remember the name of it or the author, but this one line stuck out to me…”everybody has a different timeline”. I think it’s something we all need to keep in mind as we navigate the industry.
What’s the Hardest Part of Game Dev Job Hunting Right Now?
Job hunting can feel overwhelming, not because you’re doing it wrong, but because the industry is chaotic. Let’s talk about it. What’s the ONE thing you’re finding hardest right now? Is it: • ghosting? • burnout? • your confidence? • portfolio pressure? • not knowing what to fix first? • motivation? • all of it? Whatever it is, say it. No judgement here. Half the battle is realising you’re not the only one feeling it.

I’d have to say just to add to the list, the discrimination against entry-level applicants. As a junior concept artist myself, seeing a junior role seems more rarer than finding collectible coins. And even when you do find one, they ask for experience which defeats the whole purpose.
Show Your Hero Project (Or Your Idea for One) 🎨
Your portfolio is your power move. If you’ve got a Hero Project, share it. If you’re building one, share the idea. If you’re stuck — say so, and I’ll help. We’ll look at: • your clarity • your breakdown • what’s strong • what’s missing • what studios care about This is a safe place to show work in progress. Nobody here expects perfection, just effort and direction. Let’s build something great together.

Here’s my portfolio https://baileyanischenko.artstation.com I like to keep my art style varied with both realism and anime/manga, just so you know the direction I’m trying to take my art.

An entry-level concept artist trying to break into the games industry. I’ve sent more applications than a snowflake sending hate mail.
