Holiday Tune Share Still On! 🎄❄️🎻
Congrats @Graham Acres and @Michael Miller for getting something up on the tune share thread! If you wanna check out the videos, Mike posted his as a comment reply to my post, and Graham’s is its own post in the ‘🌲❤️‍🔥 Hot Holiday Tunes’ category thread. Either way works! Also, it doesn’t have to be a holiday tune, for the record. It can be anything, and it’s just cool that it will be here for you to look back next year and see how far you’ve come. As a side note, I do love Christmas music as a tool for violin learning. We’ve heard the tunes so many times, like it or not they are seared into our brains which is a short cut for working intonation and rhythm. And/or with New Years coming…. Auld Lang Syne anyone?!? Always love to hear you play, Jenny

@Ogden Houstoun You are exactly where you need to be! I’m never gonna be good enough to perform in the Albert Hall, but I’m happy with where I am !

Here’s my token effort ! It’s been a while since I played this song ! I was trying to remember the bluegrass version from Jenny’s course because it was fun at the time of learning it 😁 Have a Happy New year peeps 🥂
Merry Christmas
Here’s my little recital “Silent Night”. The Christmas food is already taking its toll ! I have had way too many mince pies and pre crimbo meals and snacks ( festive wines/whiskeys and eggnogs). I’m not looking forward to the cheese doldrums either!!( the period between Christmas and New year!). I will hit the gym next year. Promise 👀😂 I hope you all have a good Christmas !

Merry Christmas everyone! 🎅🎄🎁🔥🎻🧝‍♀️
🎅🏼🌲❤️‍🔥 Hot Holiday Tunes
New discussion category is here! Now you have a place to save your holiday performance videos and easily come back next year to see how far you’ve come. (You’re invited to post your holiday works in progress here in our group. My own holiday blooper video is on the general feed, and now we have a special category so they won’t get buried.) Just add your video to a post, and click “Category” which will open a drop down menu that includes our very own brand new tab: 🌲❤️‍🔥 Hot Holiday Tunes. Again and as always- works in progress and imperfect takes are more than welcome and just as hot! And bonus points if you wear a hat. 🎻💥 Merry Christmas!

@Michael Miller Well played, despite all those challenges. Hope you have a Merry Christmas !
Holiday Tune Share!
I was just sharing this oldie-but-goodie blooper video over at Patreon and it sparked me to start a holiday tune share here on the main group feed. If you have a holiday tune you've been practicing please set up by your Christmas tree, throw on a hat, and give it a spin! Mistakes and works in progress welcome. While the outside world may seem to define us by our mistakes and flaws, this is a rare online living room where we all completely understand what all goes into playing a violin tune. Our ears are different at this point and we can applaud each other for what parts are going right. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from my inner hot violinist to yours! xo, Jenny

@Jenny O'Connor Naive question , Do you have scones in the states or is it just a British thing ? If so, use clotted cream!, no other cream comes close, to get the perfect taste sensation, then wash it down with a good cup of Rosie Lee 👨‍🍳🤌💋

@Jenny O'Connor Then you must try this treat! Try both ways and then pick your favourite method, wash down with tea. Usually served in an afternoon 😊. Another factor is pronunciations of scone ! Posh way sounds like S-Cone or for the commoners S-gone, both are correct and always a debate that goes with the method of how they are being served. Throw in a conversation about the weather and you can be British for an afternoon 😂.
