Merry Christmas!!
A tip from an author afar
"Stories don’t create impact by being detailed. They create impact by being directed." I love how the stories we see so far have impact and purpose to telling the tales of your dragons. This speaks to having more quests (aka prompts) available to help these tales gain larger life and grander meaning - the pull to be written and told. I would love to hear some ideas of "prompts" or directions that stories could take - I'll add some too ^_^

@Katrina Wright I think it depends on the character and where they are coming from.
Gummy Troll of Haunted Fen
Hello, my little friends, My name is Gummy…. I am a forest guardian troll. I am from Clan 7. Aliva my little sister (not really a troll but just as persistent) has asked me to tell you about who I am and tell how I came to be in the Haunted Fen Clan of trolls. When I was just a little troll, I was guarding a dragon egg in a temple ruin when I was attacked by a group of little rock people. They wanted to take the egg and have a big egg breakfast for their group. I tried to hit them, but it hurt my fists, then I tried to stomp them but it hurt my feet. So, I decided to eat them….. They were hard and crunchy on the outside but so juicy in the middle. About halfway through the group I started to notice it was harder to chew on them, not realizing that my teeth were falling out because they were breaking. By the time they ran away I was left with only 2 teeth left… so running to Trollmom Urglish I told her what happened. I didn’t want the other trolls to know because they would laugh at me, so I asked her what to do. Urglish after some coughing (which I know now was laughter) she called the Artist Troll named R’destro. She talked with him for a while and explained what happened. He grunted and said “1 day” then he left for his workshop. I went back to guarding my egg. The morning sun came up, and I was so hungry but with no teeth I just sat forlorn and thought it was maybe time to ask Urglish to assign a different troll to take over. Then in the distance I see R’destro coming up the cliff face with a large bag and a small bag swinging by his side. He doesn’t say much which is normal…. He never talks much. He gestures for me to sit down on a log and wait for him. He set up a small table and begins pulling out things and putting them on the table in front of me. With shock my eyes can’t believe what I am seeing. I am seeing a bunch of teeth that are removable. R’destro grunts and gestures for me to put one set in my mouth then checks to make sure it fits right. He takes a step back and shows me a polished piece of steel and I can see myself in the reflection… I slowly smile and growl and make faces at myself and then start to laugh with joy. I jump up and try to hug R’destro but he keeps me at arm’s length. He nods pleased with himself and his creations. After that he packs up his bigger bag with the table, steel piece, and little tools and hands me the smaller bag for the teeth and with a wave he starts back down the cliff.

The Courage to Rise (Perilous Missteps, part 3 finale)
My mind swims in confounded oblivion clinging to Mother's reassuring voice, soothing warmth, and comforting thrum. Aches and relief crash into me like waves until a chilled consciousness stirs me. Familiar smells surround me: musty wood beams, stale straw, burning oil, old leather, precious metal, and Mother. But I don't feel her warmth or thrum. My bleary eyes open to the lantern that lights up the loft. A luxury for us as Mother doesn't want light to let others know where we live. Mother? I call out in mind and voice, it sounds weaker than usual. I hate this. I lift my head and swivel my gaze peering about the whole of the barn. I don't see her but I smell her. Looking down I realizes she draped her shawl around me, wrapped something over my head, and left her bag to the side. My head aches and I close my eyes trying to block it out until it dawns on me. My eyes snap back to the abandoned bag. Mother... left it?? She never goes without it! Never leaves it behind! It may as well be her first child - but there it is, just left haplessly on the loft floor. Shifting and creaking boards snap my attention to the window Mother has been using for a door. Mother worries that each snowfall will make the main doors hard to open and the cold harder to keep out. She latches the window shut and turns to me holding a bundle her clouds of breath dispersing as she adjusts to the warmth. "Precious!" She coos in a voice that makes me both cringe and relieved as she charges toward me quickly ascending the ladder. Mother scoops me up and holds me close and I sink into her, holding onto her tighter than usual. It's so rare to see her more clearly without her shawl hiding her and the darkness obscuring her. This is Mother. Carmel coated with warm soot capping each extremity, I melt into her yearning for comfort and balm. Mother hums her lullaby as she tends to me, feeding me, and soothing me. She added herbs to the savory meat that dull the pain and ointment to my bound wound. Her touch is gentle and deliberate, and though she hides it under her calm. I sense her worry.

The Egg of Honeybloom
When I was 1 year old my parents discovered I could talk to dragons that are still in their eggs… so unhatched dragons. I would sit for hours going from one dragon egg to another that were in our fairy nursery talking gibberish. Soon that gibberish became words and some eggs I would not go to. When asked why I explained that they weren’t old enough to talk yet and definitely not ready to be paired with anyone. After I turned 3 my parents noticed that I always ended up talking to a certain egg and whenever I would talk the egg would glow pink inside of the shell. So it was decided by my father that it was time to ask me if this was the one for me. So as my mother held me, my father picked up the egg and walked to us. I strained to reach out to the egg and laughed with joy. “Mine Mine” I said and we all celebrated. My mother made me a soft fur bag so I could carry my egg and told me that I needed to carry this egg until it was the time to hatch. “But remember this will take some time… your dragon needs to grow with you.” My mother reminded me. About 3 full moons later I met Urglish the Trollmom carrying a small child around the age of 5 years old. They went into a special room for a conference with my parents. After a while they came out and introduced Aliva @Misty to me. We became fast friends and for a few years they stayed around our home while Urglish visited the troll clan that was down the way by our home. Then sadly they had to leave again. During the next 30 years we would meet a few more times and we were still close friends. Between visits we would send messages back and forth. Since Im a fairy I don’t age very much so I still look much younger than I am and my parents are worried about that my dragon still hasn’t hatched so that I would be protected and not be alone. So they asked me to travel to see Aliva @Misty and maybe it would help because they had heard She lived close to a Hatching dragon village. And maybe the presence of other dragons hatching would help motivate my egg to hatch as well. So I packed my bag and made sure I had my cloak and started out.
