Your accent?
@Lynn Kay how I see it in my personal learning process is the following. I love to work with guidance I’ve had many experiences not doing so, somehow it adds layers of difficulty for me, and I love the support from the community. Also in the real world, at least in the US, you are going to be more respected if your speech is cleaner (unfortunately or fortunately). What I like as a challenge is to be able to adapt and sound natural, now in English maybe later another language. And for me to be able to sound more clear my reference is the standard american accent that’s why I am doing PIRF- DDM and more other reasons. Maybe I’ll do the +10,000 hrs of study or maybe less, I am happy with my progress. Despite I know that having a slight accent is the sign of a bilingual person, if it is a thick accent probably will be difficult to understand. At least in the first 1,000 hrs of study, because once you really dominate it you will make on purpose your accent or not.
@Coach Miguel is your main language Spanish coach?
DDM 36 - Did you know… Facts about Vanilla ~ Far from boring!
Personally, I think this kind of tales are so beautiful. Do you know another myth or old story behind a flower, weather, food, etc? In Mexico, there is a tragic Aztec legend explaining the origin of two famous volcanoes named Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. It tells of an Aztec princess who died of a broken heart after a rival falsely claimed her warrior love had died in battle. Upon his return, the heartbroken warrior carried her to the summit, kissed her, and knelt with a smoking torch to watch o er her eternal sleep. Iztaccihuatl: Often called La Mujer Dormida (The Sleeping Women), its peaks resemble a woman lying on her back covered in a white blanket of snow. Popocatepetl: An active volcano that often spews smoke and ash. According to the myth, his heart preserves the fire of eternal passion, and smoke represents his warrior sighs as he keeps eternal watch over his princess. Pictures -> Btw, I used to live a couple of hours from there. And I used to take a moment every morning to contemplate that view.before going to work.
