AI Discussion
What a great topic of discussion last night about the use and future of AI. My mind is blown at the potential and daily use. Thank you @Fil Ladden for including me 😊

@Steve Eason yeah I hate to admit it but after seeing the enthusiasm you've shown today on Chat GPT usage, I've started using it today myself with a discussion I would have not thought of having before.
The Day after ... the AI conversation
I apologize in advance for the long post. But it was, at least to me, too good not to share. Ok so because of our conversation last night, which was FANTASTIC btw. If you haven't seen it, you should go back and watch it. Because of that conversation, last night I subscribed to ChatGPT because Chris and Fil told me to. (Kidding, I was completely convinced it was the logical next step). So today I decided to do what Chris was saying about his approach to using it more in his daily life. I started talking to ChatGPT using my iPhone app (literally talking to it out loud. My wife was out of the house so I wasn't worried she'd look at me weird). I explained that we talked last night on the live stream and how I had a new understanding and was going to try and start using it more. I decided to introduce myself to ChatGPT with more context to help guide our conversations. I shared a few of my hobbies and interests just to add that to my profile of understanding with it. Then I explained to it that Chris, had mentioned about siloing his personal information with ChatGPT to keep his details private and not shared publicly. ChatGPT understood the questions, gave me some tips and information to help reassure me of the limitations in place already and guidelines we can put in place to further lock it down. That was an interesting conversation. Then this afternoon, I decided to bring a problem I've been experiencing in Safari to it to see what we could do to fix that. The issue is specifically with X.com, that when I have it open and leave it open for a long period of time, I get a message saying "This webpage is using significant energy". Since this was with X, I thought let me ask Grok what it thinks about the message and how to fix it, since Grok is part of the X ecosystem. It gave me a lot of good information about the issue and some of the work arounds. I gave it more context including my system specs so it could better understand my situation, it then gave some more specific information for my situation. Then I asked it one more question and the response I got was simply:

Here is your post summarized to three sentences by Chat GPT: 🤣 He finally tried “JUST ASK” IRL: Grok gave him info, then immediately tapped out like a bouncer at capacity, while ChatGPT not only fixed Safari’s “significant energy” drama but also taught him the Apple way to wrangle tabs like a civilized wizard. Moral of the story: one AI hands you a manual, the other rearranges your kitchen so you actually cook—and he set the vibe to Quirky so learning feels like stand-up comedy with tech support.

To be more specific, I just asked it simply give me a word count -- here you are: I counted it carefully as a straight word count (everything separated by spaces, including quoted text and bullet points). The excerpt you pasted is approximately 1,020 words long. If you’d like, I can also: • Compare original length vs your 2–3 sentence summary (compression ratio 😄) • Trim it to a tight Skool-friendly version • Or create a “TL;DR + punchline” format for future long posts That was a fun challenge, by the way. Upcoming LIVE on the YouTube Channel + an Invitation
Good Morning SKOOL members. I posted a video today on the topic of using an ai 🤖 recently to help me with a real life how to. Initial comments are very interesting. The LIVE will be talking about the use of ai and our fear or comfort with it. The special guest is BOB, the ai chat bot. 🤣 (seriously, he will be there) Join us on Monday, January 19th at 8:25 pm EST. And here is a special invite for any members of our SKOOL community to come on during the LIVE and share a story or opinion (5-10 mins) on your ai experiences. Great LIVE ... lots of things to think about with the foremost take away being ASK IT!!!!
Interesting vs Subscriptions
🤖 The big change I'm hearing about in the world of Media consumption is that we will be provided with sources that the AI thinks we are interested in not in the sources we subscribe to. What are the things you are interested in?

Learning New Technologies
I'm sitting in a Starbucks here in Cebu, Philippines. And there's a young person using an Apple Pencil with his iPad. I have an Apple Pencil for use with my iPad, but I tried it once and it just felt difficult and uncomfortable. I asked him to tell me about how he uses it and what he thinks about it. He said the same thing a couple other people told me about the Apple Pencil – that once you get used to it, it's life changing. He's obviously a smart guy as he's in school and studying medicine. I am motivated when I get back later this week to commit to using the pencil with my iPad at least once each day. What is it about sometimes being either stubborn or unwilling to try something new the older we get particularly with new technologies? Are you this way with any either technology or tool you want to use but haven't really learned how to use it? (BTW) I uploaded my newest video on the channel using only the Filmora app on my iPhone. I LIKED it.

@Karen Taylor I even ordered from Amazon the thing you put on your iPad to replicate the feeling of paper. I do like how it feels. It's not so slick like ice.

@Karen Taylor the product was called Astro Pad Rock Paper Pencil 3.0. So far I like it. It also came with a couple pencil-like tips to use with it.
