Share something that youโ€™ve worked on recently or something youโ€™ve made, maybe a completed piece or work in progress or something youโ€™re playing around with the studio! I made these mugs in December. I have been experimenting recently with black underglaze and how it works with my spectrum pearl white glaze. Generally, the black under glaze reacts and it turns beautiful cobalt/navy blue. This time I tried the underglaze spray in black and it did not disappointโ€™

This is my most recent work. I decided to glaze the outside of it with lowfire mirror blue glaze and the inside of it with special effect cheetah glaze. It came out a little uniquely๐Ÿ˜… not quite what I expected but still very functional.

My name is Aysha and I am a hs student. I had beg ceramics class last year and had the chance to be on the wheel, this year I have ceramics and am basically planning to be on the wheel till the end of the school year. I have made a few pieces but am struggling to make things that I intend to make in the beginning not things that I end up with after several tries๐Ÿ˜… I once tried making a large bowl but ended up with a small traditional chinese tea cup at the end๐Ÿ˜†(though it came out really beautifully๐Ÿ’™)

@Carla Lorence I would say around 120 hours in total. 1 hour for like 6 months of school.

Okay gang! As my group of founding member Iโ€™d like to ask you a few questionsโ€ฆ. This platform allows me to share content, post courses, have discussions and q&A, and share in invites to in persons classes, workshops and meet ups. So my question is what content would you like to have?? Instructional how-toโ€™s of ceramics? How to start a pottery biz? How to price your work? Artist meet ups to share tips and have discussions? Teacher resources for how to teach clay in your classroom? Or anything else you can think of! Let me know below and letโ€™s build this community together!! โœŒ๐Ÿผ

I would like to know how to make different pieces in the wheel. Like I have been trying to make a set of dishes that are the same size and same shape, but it has been more challenging than I initially thought. Also some tips on how to make beautiful mugs, water jags, large pieces and what kind of clay to use would be really beneficial. I would greatly appreciate it if you could share advice and create content in these areasโค๏ธ
