Is AI Ruining BIM?
AI is rapidly entering the AEC industry—but BIM hasn’t fully delivered on its original promise. This Post, we question whether the rush toward AI is happening before BIM workflows are truly understood, adopted, and optimized. Many teams are still struggling with coordination, data quality, and basic BIM standards—so what happens when AI is layered on top of broken processes? While tools like Revit 2026 introduce smarter features, the real issue isn’t technology—it’s how we use it. Can AI really help if BIM is treated like advanced CAD instead of a connected, data-driven workflow? Or are we skipping critical foundations in the race for automation? This video explores the gap between BIM’s promise and reality, the growing hype around AI, and why mindset, workflow, and discipline matter more than tools alone. If you’re wondering whether AI will fix BIM—or expose its weaknesses—this conversation is for you.

Stop practicing. Start building.
Hey everyone! 👋 I see a lot of people in here who know where the "Wall" tool is but freeze up when staring at a blank screen. Knowing the buttons isn't the same as being an Architect. In my latest video, I’m taking the workflows I’ve used on $15B+ of construction projects and condensing them into a single project you can finish today. We aren't just drawing lines. We are setting up a professional BIM database: ✅ Correct Grids & Levels (The backbone) ✅ Real Wall Assemblies (Not "Generic 8-inch") ✅ Schedules that actually count data The Challenge: Watch the video, build the office shell along with me, and post a screenshot of your floor plan in the comments below! 👇 Let’s see who’s actually doing the work. link for Starter Template.rte https://drive.google.com/file/d/18R8AV3sqMjOYjNEJwXhAgVcj99Ft_W7k/view?usp=sharing

Grids and levels first got it.
Stop modeling for the PDF. 🛑
Luther from RG Construction just said something that exposes the biggest trap for new Revit users: "Data is useless if you can't translate it into INFORMATION." When you are learning, you think a "good model" is one that looks detailed on your screen. Wrong. A good model is one that a contractor can actually build from. If you are filling your model with heavy families just to make it look cool, but the dimensions are wrong, you aren't an Architect. You're a digital artist. 🎨 The Lesson: Don't get addicted to the software. Get addicted to the building. Question: Be honest—in your last project, did you model how the pieces actually fit together, or did you just make it look good for the render? 👇 #BIMManager #ConstructionTech #RealityCapture #RevitTips #TheStreetArckitect #OpenSpace

Get addicted to the building, not the software.' printing this and putting it on my wall. 🔥 @Luther Lampkin
🚨 New Video: Stop making flat Revit renders (Claude AI workflow)
Hey everyone, If your Revit models are still looking like flat, lifeless cartoons when you export them, you are leaving massive value on the table. I just dropped a brand-new breakdown on the channel showing you exactly how to bridge the gap between traditional architectural visualization and the future of the AEC industry. In this video, I walk you through the ultimate Revit 2026 + Claude AI rendering workflow to take your 3D views from basic to photorealistic in record time Here is exactly what we cover: - 📸 Mastering camera placement and 3D views for the perfect shot. - ☀️ Dialing in your sun settings and realistic shadows. - 📐 Setting up View Templates so you can save hours of repetitive work. - 🤖 Integrating AI directly into your design phase to generate rapid, high-quality visualizations. If you are ready to speed up your workflow and make your models look real, click the link below and check out the breakdown. Do me a quick favor: Once you watch it, drop a comment on the video and let me know your biggest "Aha!" moment. I’ll be hanging out in the comments section today answering your questions. Keep building, TheStreetArckitect P.S. Getting your rendering dialed in is just step one. If you are ready to stop drawing in Revit and start managing real-world, multi-trade VDC workflows, my new premium course is officially live. Camera placement tip alone was worth it — never thought about framing in Revit like that before! @Luther Lampkin
