Staying Calm When Life Gets Chaotic
Life doesn’t wait for us to get everything figured out. Pressure builds. Plans fall apart. People disappoint. And in the middle of it all — we’re still called to lead. Lately, I’ve been reminded that true leadership isn’t proven when things are smooth… it’s revealed when things feel like they’re spinning out of control. When chaos hits, the question isn’t “how do I fix everything?” It’s “who am I becoming in this storm?” As leaders, our calm doesn’t come from having control — it comes from having clarity and trust. Clarity that God is still working in the unseen. Trust that His peace is stronger than the storm around us. “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” — Isaiah 26:3 That verse reminds me that peace isn’t something we chase — it’s something we receive when our focus is steady on Him. Staying calm isn’t passive — it’s powerful. It’s choosing presence over panic, prayer over pressure, and patience over pride. 🪵 Challenge this week: When life starts to feel chaotic, pause before you react. Take one deep breath. Pray. Ask, “What does peace look like right now?” Then lead from that place. 💬 Question for the group: How do you personally stay grounded and calm when life feels chaotic? What helps you return to peace when everything around you feels uncertain?
