Welina mai, Ava!
@Ava Mitchell Love that you’ve been playing ʻukulele for 6 years — you’re definitely not new-new. And “stuckness” is a REAL thing… happens to all of us when we’re self-taught--we plateau. Also shoutout to @Alexandra Petropoulos for the invite! (Flute Nerds pulling up strong 💪🏽😂) Quick first step: go comment on the pinned post “Welina Mai! Welcome to ʻUkulele Nerds — Start Here” so we can learn a bit about you, then jump into the Crash Course linked in that same post to shake the rust off and get an easy win (that is, if there is any rust). Question for you, Ava: what does “stuck” feel like right now — chords, strumming, timing, or finishing songs? Something I haven't thought of yet?

@Kāʻili Wells Jr. I just watched it! To be honest I didn't watch the entire thing. But from me going through it, I was glad you went in depth for the supposed "easy" stuff. Cause I remember when I was a beginner I would get irritated with YouTube cause they always made the harder stuff seem easy. I'm sure quite a few beginners will be very grateful for that. I was sorry to hear you had insomnia the night before! You did great for someone who didn't get much sleep! I could never teach when I didn't get much sleep. You made it super beginner friendly, which is awesome. The only thing I would say is that I'm not sure many people have enough time to watch the whole thing. So the time stamps were a great idea. Thanks for the great lesson I'm sure people will find it very helpful! (P.S. Three little birds was the very first song I learned as well, so it brought back happy memory's.) Great job @Kāʻili Wells Jr. !!! :)

@Kāʻili Wells Jr. Yeah you would think, Haha! But I don't actually know any Mexican tunes. ( Weird I know) Yeah I know it's very unique. And I can, yes! I would just need to take time to record some. :)
Welcome Alexandra! 🤙🏽🎶
Ok first of all… a flute tutor + unapologetic #flutenerd?? You’re already family 😂 Everyone if you wanna learn/improve your flute skills, go join @Alexandra Petropoulos' skool "Flute Nerd Lab!" They're super fun and from what little I've seen, she's REALLY good! She's fun to talk with, too 😬 This is the only other music skool I've seen with "Nerd" in the title and I LOVE IT! And the honesty killed me: “Afraid I haven’t [played ʻukulele]” — no shame, we love a fresh start. Your “#1 thing to improve” being “probably should start with getting ukulele” is one of my favorite responses to that question so far 😂 Go hit the pinned post: “Welina Mai! Welcome to ʻUkulele Nerds — Start Here” and drop your intro (yes, you can put “0 days” for how long you’ve played). Then, when you're ready with ʻukulele in hand, jump into the Crash Course linked in that same post and let’s get your first win. Thanks for jumping in, Alexandra!
Welcome Alexandra! 🤙🏽🎶
